History Through a joint effort between the University of Southern California School of Dentistry (USCSD) & the Union Rescue Mission (URM), a 6-chair dental clinic was opened in 2000 for individuals in L.A.’s Skid Row – 2 additional chairs added in 2005 Goals 1- Improve the oral health status of people who are homeless 2- Increase the number of homeless individuals accessing dental care 3- Increase the number of the dental/ dental hygiene students providing care to homeless individuals
