Electrical Division
Activities Performed by the Division
We wish to introduce ourselves as a grade ―A‖ Electrical Contractor established in 1998. Our scope of
activities extend to cover all aspects of Electrical Services to the different types of buildings such as,
Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Army Buildings, Schools…etc.
Activities Carried Out By The Division:-
Small Power Installations:-
Our Electric Division executed all types of small power low voltage works such as Lighting &
Distribution boards, Bus Bar Riser, Bus Duct, all type of works – P.V.C, G.I, Cables, Lightening
protections sys, lighting control panels,… etc.
Sub-Main & Cubical Panels:-
Sub-main Panels & Cubic Panels of different sizes and types have been installed by our electricians in
different projects, such as the army hanger‘s residential complex and multistory buildings. These panels
were installed, terminated, tested & commissioned by our Electricians, foremen and under our
engineers‘ supervision.
Fire Alarm System:-
Different types of Fire Alarm System (i.e. Conventional and Addressable) have been installed by our
technicians using different types of mechanically protected cables and the normal cables depending on
the individual projects requirements. Also, these systems were tested and commissioned by MARINA
and approved and certified by the Fire Fighting Department.
Public Address System:-
Public Address System includes different sizes and different types of speakers (i.e. 6W, 12W, Box
Speaker, Horn Speakers …etc), in addition to amplifiers & microphones were installed in different
projects (mostly Mosques) by our technicians.
Street Lighting & Feeder Pillar:-
The electrical division has experience in erection of light poles; cabling; termination and commissioning
of street light & feeder pillar were we have executed many different projects.

six stories and some small industrial projects, so I as a head of section had to arrange the electrical
works in accordance with the main civil contractors in the different sites at the same time which was a
new experience to me. Also, I have learned how to make projects execution programs, how to make
materials orders from overseas, how to manage different scall projects at the same time & how to
manage a group of 40-60people at the time. This job also gave me the feeling of company finance and
financing control for small jobs/projects.

Marina trading & contracting Mechanical division has full experience staff to execute all type of A/C
works. Our staff can deal with the different type standards, and brands, of A/c verities, we have executed
many types of projects with different types and application of A/C system such as Air Cooled, Water
Cooled, chiller, AHU, FCU, VRV system, chilled water pumps secondary or primary and secondary
chilled water circuit, based that over staff have the capabilities to do the testing and commissioning of
A/c system all over works is to the standard rules & regulation of QCS. ASHRE, ASME and code of
practice. System such as Air Cooled, Water Cooled,
Hot and cold water system
The plumbing & Drainage staff executes Hot & Cold Water system using copper piping complying with
BS 2871 both table ―X‖ & ―Y‖ or any other type of G.I pipes, all size‘s of pump Ps. any system
designed by consultants.
Cold water system is carried out either using gravity method or by pressure application depending on
projects. Demand hot water system could be executed by either individual storage single heaters or by
the use or central heaters with circulation pumps.
Irrigation System
automatic & semi-automatic systems are both executed using a set of high pressure PVC

piping to constitute the ring main and branch connections, set of pressure pumps, quick coupling valves
drip emitters…etc.
It is carried out using a set of fire fighting pumps, steel piping net-works, sprinkler system, dry and wet
riser, deluge valve system and all shall be UL listed FM approved. The system is always made under
pressure to give immediate provision of water at the time of fire occurrence, the fire fighting works
executed based on the design criteria, civil defense regulation and NFPA, 10, 13, 14, 20, 21 standards.
The staff also carries out Electro-Mechanical installation for swimming pools, both skimmer and
overflow types.
All sort of above or underground drainage pipeing is carried out by the division using UPVC, ESVC and
cast iron piping all in accordance with project specifications and requirement.

A detailed program for the full schematics and working drawings shall be formulated, based upon the
construction program. The program shall contain the following information:

� Client approval dates (and periods) for drawings
All these shall be in accordance with the requirements of the construction program.
Shortly after an order is received from the client, the Project Manager shall ensure that a buying program
is produced. It is a prediction of when orders must be placed in order to ensure delivery on the program
dates.
This procedure requires the listing of all future orders to be placed on suppliers and sub-contractors,
together with the following minimum information against each future order;
� Description of material/sub-contract
� Order can be placed
� Date materials required on site taken from the construction program.
The standard proforma ―material Control Chart‖ may be used for the Buying Program. Alternatively, the
Buying Plan may be set up on a PMS Phase providing the minimum information listed under the above

Once the construction program has been agreed, programs will be prepared and issued for the major
subcontract elements of the works, typically builders work ductwork, control/instrumentation and other
specialist contractors.
The sub-contract programs shall contain the following information as applicable;
� Drawing production periods
� Drawing approval periods
� Manufacturing/delivery periods

Following contract award our Project Manager would review all latest issue specifications and drawings.
From this information – and in compliance with the agreed sequence of construction program – we will
develop and produce a detailed drawing production program. We will discuss and agree the detail and
means of document control and data transfer to comply with the Project control system.
We shall initiate schedules of information required and incorporate updated detail to the co-ordinate
construction issue building services drawings we submit for approval then issue for construction.
Multi-service co-ordinate drawings will be produced, detailing builders work associated activities and
all Mechanical & Electrical interfaces.
All drawings shall be numbered consecutively and the numbering system shall be in accordance with the
drawing production and standard section of preliminaries and general conditions.
The earliest of design information and details is essential to allow the drawing process to more forward
in line with the project program.
It will be important to allow in the pre construction period adequate time for the detailed drawing
program and development.

In conjunction with design and development and project planning activities we will liase with all
nominated suppliers and sub-traders and structure the supplier chain.
This progress initiates the development of a draft Procurement Plan – logic linked to the sequence and

The plan will be supported by relevant schedules and technical submission which will indicate:

Effective planning and co-operation are vital to achieving the construction program. We will setup
a team as necessary but may include:
� A Project Manager
� Project Engineers
� Trade Foreman
� Supervisors.
Each team will be supported by a core group including:
� Design and engineering staff
� CAD Engineers
� Site wide Safety Team
� Planners
� Document Control and Secretarial Staff
� Commissioning Engineers
� Quantity Surveyors

Progress will be proactively monitored against the various programs to identity potential problems- and
implement solutions- to maintain efficient progress.
The actual sequence of installations will be determined by our team in collaboration with the Main
Contractor and the Professional team, other Trade Contractors and the master program.
We are committed to improving health and Safety and Welfare at work in the Construction industry.
Our site team has all been trained in safety on construction sites and the management of safe working
practices.
Our Engineers will organize delivery of plant and materials to site – in consultation with the Main
Contractor – to suit area/access availability as and when they can be incorporated into the works.
Best possible practices will be employed and a specialist sub-contractor to delivery large items of plant
safely.
Good communication and notification methods will be essential in controlling all deliveries

Following contract award throughout the period of design development and thereafter, we will be
responsible for supervising all services commissioning and testing activities.
We will lease with the clients team, the commissioning Engineer and co-ordinate the activities of our
suppliers and specialist sub traders test and commissioning personnel.
Their early involvement will ensure:
� Working schemes take full account of test and commissioning requirements, minimizing second
fix access requirements and maximizing maintainability.
� The seamless interface between the various M&E systems
� Plant and equipment orders incorporate test and commissioning requirements
� Maintaining existing systems where appropriate without disruption to the occupants
We will assist drafting relevant sections of the commissioning Quality Plan and the be responsible for
the production of a detailed Test & Commissioning Program to integrate all aspects of our works within
the overall project program.
We will lease with Manufacturer/Supplier personnel and advise on the system completion
priorities to achieve commissioning program requirements. They will input to the preparation of:
� Relevant Method Statements covering delivery, offloading, positioning and installation of plant
and services, commissioning checks, main and sub main power on tests
� Test and Commissioning record preparation
� Demonstration and Handover procedures
� Operation and Maintenance documents and Manuals
� Client Training programs

Marina Trading & Contracting Co. is fully appreciative of the importance of providing O & M
documentation and record drawings to coincide with the handover of the project.
Depending on the size and how complicated the project is we would either prepare them in-house or
subcontract to a specialist organization. The process of accumulating information and wiring diagrams
specific to the plant and equipment to be installed on the project is initiated at the time of order. At the
same time the draft manual can be prepared based on the specification and drawings and amended
ongoing during the project to reflect variations to the installation, omissions and additions.
A parallel exercise is carried out with preparing record drawings, a set of working drawings are retained
in isolation to the drawings used for installation, these drawings reflect variations to the installation and
as areas of the building are completed the relevant drawings are amended and recorded as installed
drawings.
The process is continual throughout the life of the project with key dates identified on the program
identifying latest information to be available from suppliers/manufacturers, access to completed areas to
record serial numbers and information from plant and equipment, issue of draft manual for comments
and/or approval. The only section that con not be incorporated until completion of the project are the
commissioning data sheets, we would lease closely with our commissioning of the project and
preparation of the result for incorporation into the manuals.
