Regrinding MBO* Fold Rollers
The process for reconditioning an MBO* fold roller is a slightly different process than Stahl or Baum.
On a Stahl or Baum, the urethane is physically replaced.
MBO* style rollers do not receive new urethane, rather a portion of the total diameter is removed,
thus correcting the imperfections and returning the roller to OEM specs.
MBO* fold roller wears in 2 ways:
■ The roller develops high and low spots giving you an inconsistent grip.
■ The roller wears in a concave fashion, typically from use in one spot.
No contact in center of roller
Diameter reduced on outside
Full contact across the length of roller
Rollers touch on outside

When the roller is reground, a portion of the total diameter is removed thereby eliminating

As with all other fold rollers, some rollers will not be able to be reground. Excessive body and journal
wear will make a roller unacceptable for regrinding. If this is the case you will be contacted regarding
your options.
