The exact purpose of the invention is to prevent the brick/slag interaction using a brick that is compacted under high pressure with a density of more than 3 kg/decimetre3 and a porosity of less than 4%. The said brick has a composition containing between 66-68 wt % Magnesite (MgCO3), between 14-15 wt% Alumina (A1203), and between 9-10 wt% Graphite, as well, between 7-9 wt% of additives that are used to improve thermal shock, heat resistance and oxidation in a combined composition of Aluminium powder, Silicon metal, Silicon carbide, and clay). Moreover, the invention comprises between 2-3 wt% phenolic resins by weight of a binder, in relation to the total percentages referred to above.
