(57) Abstract :<br />

This invention relates to a packing for an injector device for the placement <strong>of</strong> a subcutaneous infusion set on a patient. An insertion<br />

needle used in conjunction with an injector device is employed for transcutaneous placement <strong>of</strong> a s<strong>of</strong>t <strong>and</strong> relatively flexible tubular<br />

cannula, followed by removal <strong>of</strong> the insertion needle <strong>and</strong> subsequent infusion <strong>of</strong> medical fluid to the patient through the cannula. The<br />

packing according to the present invention can storage an injector device combined with an infusion set <strong>and</strong> an insertion needle under<br />

sterile conditions. The packing comprises at least - a first storage room storing the injector device combined with an infusion set <strong>and</strong><br />

an insertion needle, - a first <strong>part</strong> (1) providing a further storage room (9b) isolated <strong>from</strong> the insertion needle (312, 26), is constructed<br />

with a bottom <strong>part</strong> (2a, 2b) <strong>and</strong> walls (2c) st<strong>and</strong>ing upright form the bottom <strong>part</strong> (2a, 2b), - a second <strong>part</strong> which is attached to the first<br />

<strong>part</strong> (1) before use in such a way that the conditions inside the packing remain sterile, <strong>and</strong> seen <strong>from</strong> a sectional view through the<br />

walls (2c), the walls (2c) are forming at least two sections each formed as a <strong>part</strong>ial circle with at least two centres C1 <strong>and</strong> C2 <strong>and</strong> the<br />

centres C1 <strong>and</strong> C2 are placed with a distance D between them.<br />
