Carp-X Accessories – trust your instincts!
O. Mustad & Søn A.S
P.O.Box 41
N-2801 Gjøvik
NORWAY
To compliment the already successful range of Carp-X ready rigs, Mustad are pleased to
announce the launch the Carp-X Accessories range of rig components and bait accessories
for those anglers who prefer to build their own rigs.
With a worldwide reputation for quality and reliability you can be sure that Mustad Carp-X
Accessories are every bit as good as our hooks. All of the components are built to Mustad’s
own designs and high quality standards, but still represent great value and functionality to
the angler. Used in conjunction with the Ultra Point Carp hooks and Carp-X braids and fluoro -
carbons, you too can produce reliable, high quality rigs made to your own tailored designs.
CR-100 – Ring Link Swivel
Welded ring swivel for improved bait mobility on helicopter and stiff rigs.
The large ring bore also means this swivel can safely be used on antiether
rigs.
CR-101 – Carp-X Swivels
High quality, round eye swivels with roller body. The size 8 is the perfect fit
for lead clips and helicopter rigs, and the size 10 ideal as a connector swivel.
CR-102 – Oval Sliding Rings
Stainless steel oval rings for anti-eject sliding ring rigs. The oval ring ensures
the bait sits very close to the hook shank, ensuring that the hook will remain
in the fishes’ mouth if it tries to “blow” the bait. Lock in place on the hook
shank with an Oval Ring Hook Stop.
CR-103 – Round Sliding Rings
Small stainless steel round rings for tying anti-eject “D” rigs. Allows the fish
to “blow” the bait whilst ensuring the hook remains in the fishes’ mouth.
CR-104 – Carp-X Lead Link
Simple and secure, tangle free design snap link for affixing a lead to a rig.
Can be used on helicopter, semi-fixed and free runner rigs.
CR-105 – Micro Double Sleeves
Compact micro double crimp sleeves for making stiff rigs. Can be safely used
with mono and fluorocarbon, finishing with a neat and secure connection on
short rigs rather than a bulky and unsightly knot.
CR-106 – Thermo Shrink Tube
Extremely versatile 3 to 1 clear shrink tubing (the tube is reducing its diameter
to 1/3 if heated). Used for line aligner rigs, forming “D” rigs or generally
tidying rigs off and securing knots.
CR-107 – X-Cones
Used in conjunction with the X-Clip (Lead release clip) to secure the lead
in place and prevent it from falling off. Will slide back if the rig becomes
snagged to allow the release of the lead.
CR-108 – X-Clip (Lead release clip)
The classic safety lead release clip design. The anti-tether design ensures that
in the event of the line breaking, the lead can pull free rather than remaining
attached to the fish causing extreme distress or even death. It also has the
benefit of enabling a quick change of weight and in the event of snagging
whilst playing fish, will often result in the lead pulling free and enabling you
to land the fish safely.
CR-109 – Soft Rubber Beads
Multi use soft rubber beads. Use with Helicopter rigs, as a buffer bead on free
runner rigs or just a knot protector to finish rigs off neatly and protect knots
from abrasion.
CR-110 – X-Heli Cover
Helicopter base bead to fit over a Carp-X lead link bead and / or swivel when
constructing helicopter rigs. Can be used on braid or lead core, in conjunction
with a Ring Link swivel and soft rubber bead to lock in place.
CR-111 – X-Sleeve
A new design of sleeve for quick and simple semi-fixed, anti-tether rigs, ideal
for use with lead core. Simply slide the sleeve onto the braid or lead core and
push fit onto the end swivel. Push on a X-ring with a lead link attached and
you have a simple and secure semi-fixed rig.
CR-112 – X-Ring (Low resistance)
Very versatile sliding run ring. Use with a X-Sleeve and lead link for a semifixed,
anti-tether rig or with just a lead link for a conventional low-resistance
free running leger rig.
CR-113 – Heli-Kit
All the components in just one pack to make up a conventional helicopter rig.
CR114 – Runner Rig Bead
Unique rubber bead with a hole running throughout but with the hole on
one side larger to securely accommodate a size 8 swivel and lock in place. Can
be used on many variations of runner and helicopter rigs and helps protect
knots from abrasion.
CR-115 – Rig Tube
Anti-tangle PVC tube with an inner diameter of 0.75mm for use on antitangle
and helicopter rigs. 2m per packet.
CR-116 – X-Beads
Similar design to the Runner rig bead with a hole through the middle and
one side with a larger bore to accommodate a size 8 swivel, but with
a round finish.
CR-117 – Power Pop-up Weights
Removable pop-up weights for counter balancing pop-up rigs. Can be added
and removed without damaging the hook-link material. Simply add on the
weight then lock in place by inserting the rubber sleeve into the groove
on the lead.
CR-118 – Oval Ring Hook Stops
Micro cones made from soft rubber that fit onto your hook shank for antiejection
sliding ring rigs. Simply slide on an oval sliding ring and then add
the hook stop. For best results superglue in place on the shank of the hook
just before the bend to ensure perfect presentation, without impairing the
ability to set the hook properly.
CR-119 – Bait Bands
Clear soft plastic bait bands for securing boilies and floating surface baits such
as dog biscuits. Just insert the hook point into the pre-formed hole on the
bait band and then stretch over your intended bait. Ensures the hook point
remains clear of the bait to achieve a good hook hold.
CR-120 – X-Boilie Stops
Clear, concave sequin stops for use with soft baits or when casting extreme
distances. For the most secure bait retention when casting extreme distance,
use in conjunction with the standard Boilie stop for double security. Excellent
for pellets and meat baits that have a tendency to drop-off conventional
stops on their own.
CR-121 – Boilie Stops
Traditional strip Boilie stops for a small yet secure hold of your bait when
using hair rigs. Clear PE plastic with a double ridge to ensure your bait will
not slip from the hair.
Mustad can trace its roots back to 1832 in Gjøvik, Norway. Then the farmer Hans Skikkelstad established
a factory for the production of nails, steel wire and various metal products. Later, Ole Mustad, Skikkelstad’s
son-in-law, took over the company together with his son Hans – and changed its name to “O. Mustad & Søn”.
By refining and industrializing the manual production of fish hooks in 1877, the company managed to become a
global market leader in just a few years. In some parts of the world ‘Mustad’ is, in fact, the local word for fish hook.
Still owned by the family, the company is currenly being run by the 6th generation Mustad, continuously
developing the world’s most recognized sport fishing brand.
Today, Mustad has a leadership position in more than 160 countries. To understand why, check out our present
product range. Watch out for news!
