Panoply Arts Festival<br />
Huntsville, Alabama - April 27-29<br />
Since its first year in 1982, the Panoply Arts<br />
Festival, sponsored by The Arts Council of<br />
Huntsville, has grown to be a major cultural<br />
attraction of the region, including local and<br />
regional artists in every medium in the Art<br />
Marketplace, a juried competition with cash<br />
awards for category winners. Panoply also<br />
features children’s art activities, entertainment<br />
stages and more - including the Alabama<br />
State Fiddle Competition. Admission is $5<br />
($10 for an all-event pass) and children under<br />

Beaux Arts Fair<br />
Davenport, Iowa - May 12-13<br />
Originally organized in 1953, this annual event<br />
features artisans from seven states in every<br />
medium. Located adjacent to the Figge Arts<br />
Center, the Beaux Arts Fair provides plenty<br />
of cultural attractions with music, food and<br />
children’s activities. The Beaux Arts Fair is<br />
organized as a semi-annual event, with another<br />
exhibition scheduled for September 8-9.<br />

Marion Arts Festival<br />
Marion, Iowa - May 19<br />
Named as one of the top one-day festivals<br />
in the nation, the Marion Arts Fesitval is<br />
celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2012.<br />
Located in City Square Park in uptown<br />
Marion, the event features 100 artists as well<br />
as a half marathon, food and the Empty Bowls<br />
project where more than 1,000 ceramic bowls<br />
created by area students are sold for charity.<br />

Art in the Park<br />
Columbia, Missouri - June 2-3<br />
Originating in 1958, Art in the Park is the<br />
oldest outdoor arts festival in Missouri, with<br />
110 artists displaying their work in Stephens<br />
Lake Park. Unique to this fair is the Emerging<br />
Artists Pavilion where peer-juried art from<br />
undergraduate students in Columbia is<br />
displayed but not sold. Another facet of Art<br />
in the Park is the regular rotation of music<br />
and magic on the performing stage.<br />

Des Moines, Iowa - June 22-24<br />
Originally known as Art in the Park, this event<br />
began in 1958 in the wooded area adjacent<br />
to the Des Moines Art Center. Today, more<br />
than 200 select artists gather in downtown<br />
Des Moines near the beautiful John and Mary<br />
Pappajohn Sculpture Garden. The range of art<br />
is incredible, with large scale metal sculptures,<br />
awe-inspiring oil paintings and introspective<br />
photography. In addition to the variety of<br />
artwork available, attendees enjoy an eclectic<br />

Park Point Art Fair<br />
Duluth, Minnesota - June 23-24<br />
This event, now in its 43rd year, is known for<br />
its stunning setting along Lake Superior as<br />
well as its outstanding selection of art in all<br />
mediums. By limiting the number of artists<br />
to approximately 120, organizers believe<br />
the selected artists can stand out more.<br />
The festival attracts approximately 10,000<br />
visitors drawn by a reputation for offering<br />

Ann Arbor, Michigan - July 18-21<br />
The oldest fair of this type in an urban setting,<br />
the Ann Arbor Art Fair is also regarded as<br />
the best, voted #1 in the nation on several<br />
