Mumble (Elijah Wood) has a problem. His son, Erik, does not mirror his passion for dance and is too intrigued
by the Mighty Sven (Hank Azaria), a penguin who can actually fly! Never fear, the penguin nations unite again
to defend their homeland against odds that, at times, seem insurmountable. This return to the breathtaking landscape of
Antarctica introduces new characters of the wild, as well, including Will and Bill Krill (voiced by Brad Pitt and Matt Damon).

Instead of a repressive community in the west, Ren MacCormack – played by Kenny Wormwald – moves from urban
chic to the rural south and a town that prohibits such sinful behavior as dancing and singing. In this new version, Dennis
Quaid fills the role of conservative minister Shaw Moore while his daughter, Ariel, is played by Julianne Hough. The clashes of culture are
reminiscent of the original, and the music and dancing do a similar job of tying it all together – just in time for the high school prom!
