FKE MoU Signing with Tokyo<br />

On the 10th August 2016, Faculty of Electrical<br />
Engineering (FKE), Universiti Teknologi MARA<br />
(UTIM) received a visit from delegates of Tokyo<br />
Denki University (TDU), Japan, in conjunction<br />
with a memorandum of understanding (MoU)<br />
signing ceremony between the two institutions.<br />
<strong>The</strong> visit was organised by Center of<br />
Communication Engineering Studies (CECES) of<br />
FKE. TDU was represented by Prof. Dr. Hiroshi<br />
Yasuda, President of TDU, and Prof. Dr.<br />
Takehiko Kobayashi, Director of International<br />
Center of TDU.<br />

Majlis Menandatangani MoU Antara<br />
UiTM - Tokyo Denki Universiti (TDU), Jepun<br />
Prior to the signing ceremony, TDU delegates visited UITM's<br />
Vice Chancellor office, where a short discussion was held with<br />
Prof. Emeritus Dato' Dr. Hassan Said, the Vice Chancellor of<br />
UITM. After the short meeting,<br />
both parties signed the MoU in a<br />
ceremony held at the Chancellery<br />
Building. This MoU is hoped to<br />
strengthen, promote and develop<br />
international and research<br />
cooperation between the parties<br />
in terms of promoting institutional<br />
exchanges between faculty and<br />
staff, starting-off with joint<br />
research in Microwave<br />
Engineering and Information<br />
Engineering. Other areas of<br />
cooperation includes promotion of<br />
undergraduate and graduate<br />
students exchange, coorganization<br />
of symposium,<br />
conferences, short courses and<br />
meetings on research related<br />
issues. At the same event, we also<br />
had the privilege to organize a<br />
special lecture from the President<br />
of TDU, Prof. Dr. Hiroshi Yasuda,<br />
entitled "Future Prospects in the<br />
Era of Web 3.0".<br />
