The new exciting AgfaPhoto DC-1338sT with touch screen TFT display 

Cologne, 23.09.2008. You simply can't take your hands off the new AgfaPhoto DC-1338sT with touch 

screen. It will be presented to the public for the first time at the photokina 2008 from September 23 to 28 

2008 in hall 5.2, booth C031. 

The AgfaPhoto DC-1338sT has a three inch touch screen TFT display. A gentle touch of the display, 

either with a finger or a pen, opens the user interface. Due to the easy to comprehend icons, it can be 

used immediately and intuitively and provides rapid access to all functions and settings. 

The chic black metal casing is another highlight besides the touch screen TFT display of this light and 

compact digital camera. With this design, the AgfaPhoto DC-1338sT will surely attract everyone's 

attention and make your "subjects" smile. The smile detection function automatically focuses on these 

happy faces. The additional face tracking function, which significantly improves the photography of faces, 

the image stabiliser and the AF light are other factors for successful photography. You will be able to take 

great photos even in difficult light situations. 

And for the fans of YouTube, the AgfaPhoto DC-1338sT offers another special highlight: when recording 

videos, you can save them immediately in YouTube format and upload them on the portal. 

The AgfaPhoto DC-1338sT features a triple optical zoom and a quintuple digital zoom, a resolution of ten 

megapixels, a light sensitivity factor up to ISO 3200 and 22 motif programs like sports and night shot 

mode. It also has an album and picture frame function, an integrated loudspeaker for video recordings as 

well as a burst function for serial images. Delivery also includes a rechargeable battery and an external 

charger.

The AgfaPhoto DC-8428s with its 28-mm panorama lens will surely excite you! 

On September 23, 2008 the time has come: The new AgfaPhoto DC-8428s with its 28-mm panorama 

lens will be presented at the photokina in Cologne. There you can test it until September 28 in hall 5.2, 

booth C031. 

� 28-mm panorama lens and quadruple optical zoom 

The 28-mm panorama lens and the quadruple optical zoom expand the recording range of the 

camera. With the AgfaPhoto DC-8428s, you can also photograph large groups, vast building and 

landscapes. The image quality is a very convincing feature of this digital camera just like the noble 

design and the compact metal housing. 

� Face tracking 

Another highlight of the camera is the face tracking function. The AgfaPhoto DC-8428s detects up to 

five faces per image and lets you photograph them perfectly and automatically. In addition, the antishake 

function results in sharp images even if you do not keep the digital camera perfectly steady 

when pressing the trigger. The activation of the coupling function results in entirely new possibilities: 

two photos can be combined to one image in the camera already. 

� Panorama function 

The images photographed with the panorama function and then joined with the PanoramaMaker range 

farther than the eye can see. The software is uncomplicated and also allows the creation of 360° 

images. Now all you have to do is sit back, view and enjoy. This camera will allow you to experience 

the motifs in a totally new dimension. 

� Even more technology... 

The AgfaPhoto DC-8428s has a 2.7 inch TFT display (230,000 pixels), a quadruple optical and a 

quintuple digital zoom, a resolution of eight megapixels and 19 motif programs. The display brightness 

mode is a very practical function to adapt the display optimally to the lighting conditions, so you can 

always see the display in perfect light. The AgfaPhoto DC-8428s is equipped with a lithium ion battery. 

Delivery also includes the software packages Zoner PanoramaMaker and Zoner PhotoStudio 9 

Express. 



AgfaPhoto digital cameras with sensor trigger 

AgfaPhoto sensor 830s and 530s digital cameras with the new trigger technology 

The red sensor trigger, which has been applied in Agfa cameras since 1969, revolutionised the world of 

photography. It quickly developed into the trademark of the manufacturer. The typical trigger with its red 

dot has become a part of the AgfaPhoto logo. Then and now, it symbolises easy handling, reliability and 

optimum image quality. 

Now AgfaPhoto presents the first digital camera with the sensor trigger. 

"While many design-oriented cameras use increasingly small triggers, we opt for the sensor technology 

due to its simple and comfortable handling", says Michael Roessler, CEO of plawa. 

The design of the AgfaPhoto digital cameras is "Made in Germany". With a diameter of 14 mm, the trigger 

of the AgfaPhoto sensor 830s and 530s is significantly larger than most triggers on modern digital 

cameras. The tip of the finger rests flush on the trigger and reduces blurring. The AgfaPhoto sensor 

cameras also have a compact and classic design. With a weight of only 120 grams (without memory card 

and battery), they are very handy. A 2.4 inch TFT display supports you with the selection of your motifs 

and shows you the recorded images. Voice recording and video recording are also possible. Both models 

are equipped with a modern CMOS sensor. The AgfaPhoto sensor 530s has a resolution of five 

megapixels and a triple optical as well as an octuple digital zoom. Its bigger sister, the AgfaPhoto sensor 

830s, has a resolution of eight megapixels and a triple optical and a quintuple digital zoom. The face 

tracking function ensures the optimum exposure of faces. The maximum sensitivity of ISO 800 

guarantees a good image quality, even in bad lighting conditions. Twelve recording modes and nine 

picture frames are available for selection. 

Both AgfaPhoto sensor cameras are available in black, noble bronze, rosé and royal blue. Delivery 

includes a carrier strap, a bag, two AA batteries, a USB cable and driver software.

Reducing ink costs and protecting the environment 

Cologne, 23.09.2008. If you are annoyed with high ink costs, this is your license to save: with the Snap ‚n’ 

Print by AgfaPhoto, users of modern HP* printers can save up to 50% and protect the environment at the 

same time. Snap ‚n’ Print is now also available as a low-cost beginners' solution, as InitialPacks, for the 

HP* ink cartridges of series 56 (black) and 57 (colour). 

The innovative cartridge system consists of a modified HP print head and the ‚Snap-in’ cartridges. With 

some HP* printers, the entire print head including its electronics is disposed of after one single use. 

Contrary to this disposable principle, the print head is inserted once with the Snap ‚n’ Print by AgfaPhoto 

and becomes a permanent part of the printer. Once the cartridge is empty, it is sufficient to press the 

snap-in tank into the support of the print head and continue printing as usual. 

With respect to quality and yield, the AgfaPhoto Snap ‚n’ Print cartridges are comparable with the original 

ink. When handled correctly, the modified ink head allows the exchange of up to 25 cartridges. Refills are 

available as single cartridges (Single Pack) or as dual packs (Twin Pack). 

Snap ‚n’ Print saves your budget and the environment at the same time. The cost savings compared to 

the original inks is up to 50%. At the same time, the user produces less "waste".

AgfaPhoto PicturePacks: digital film box 

Now you can print your photos fast and comfortably yourself and also save money: With the AgfaPhoto 

PicturePacks, 10 x 15- photos can be produced starting at just 9 Cents* at home - and that with the usual 

AgfaPhoto quality. The sets consisting of ink and 100 sheets of photo paper are available for a series of 

modern photo printers made by Canon**, Epson** and HP**. 

The ink supplied in the PicturePacks is optimally adjusted to the photo paper. The result: photo prints in 

excellent quality. The ink volume contained in the cartridges is sufficient for printing 100 digital photos in a 

popular photo format. This results in the following prices for the individual printer models: 9 Cents* per 

photo with select HP** and Canon** devices as well as 19 Cents and 29 Cents per printout with selected 

Canon** and Epson** printers. 



The AgfaPhoto PicturePacks are available for Canon** printers with ink cartridges of the series BCI-3, 

BCI-6, BCI-21/24 and PGI-5/CLI-8, for Epson** printers with ink cartridges of the series T044, T048, 

T055, T061, T071 and T080 as well as for HP printers with ink cartridges of the series HP 343/344 and 

HP 22/28/57. All stated brand inks are also available separately.

AgfaPhoto chip cartridges for Canon-Pixma printers 

At the photokina 2008, AgfaPhoto will present cartridges with a chip and a fully functional fill level 

indicator for the Canon* PGI-5 and CLI-8 series. 

In comparison with the original manufacturer's suggested retail price, this results in a saving of 45% to 

50% depending on the cartridge type. The compatible inks with five cartridges each (PGI-5, CLI-8 

Black/Cyan/Magenta/Yellow) as AgfaPhoto Multipacks are even more economic. 

So far, the only alternative to the Canon* PGI-5 and CLI-8 series were refill solutions or cartridges, on 

which the chip had to be removed from the original cartridge and attached to the replica. AgfaPhoto 

already presented a version at the end of 2006, which was equipped with a support into which the chip 

was inserted and snapped into place. Now users can benefit from an even more comfortable solution with 

the same quality as the original - and all this at a much more economic price.

3T Supplies AG produces alternative brand inks and office products for digital imaging applications. 

Developed with the brand names "Peach" and "AgfaPhoto", the Swiss company produces and markets 

compatible ink cartridges for the most common printer brands. The product range also includes inkjet 

photo paper, lamination and binding machines as well as document shredders. The company is a 

veritable ink specialist with extensive technology know-how. Tests published in industry and public media 

like c’t (edition 14-2008) and the renowned magazine "test" of "Stiftung Warentest" (7/2008) as well as by 

independent test institutes like EMPA (Swiss material and testing institute), the Swiss counterpart to the 

German TÜV, certify the high quality of the inks.
