Wealth & Tax Management donate £50,000
to Milton Keynes Community Foundation
Milton Keynes based financial
planning company Wealth & Tax
Management is donating £50,000
to the Milton Keynes Community
Foundation to help make a difference
locally to financial education.
The donation will be staged in
5 payments of £10,000 per year,
with 50% going to good causes and
50% placed into an endowment
where it will be invested indefinitely.
Charities and self-help groups will
benefit from the income from the
endowment. These funds will be
spent on financial education for
people of all ages in Milton Keynes,
with the aim of making them
financially self-sufficient. The monies
will be managed as The Tony Byrne
Financial Education Fund.
Tony Byrne, MD of Wealth & Tax
Management, explained, “I liked
the idea of supporting smaller local
charities and self-help groups. Giving
back to our local community appealed
to me and I thought there would be
less waste in smaller organisations.
Being able to meet the people from
these local groups is invaluable,
because we can see our donations
really do make a difference.”
Tony would like to see as many
people as possible financially literate
and self-sufficient.
Milton Keynes Community
Foundation provides grants to other
not-for-profit organisations, charities,
voluntary groups and community
initiatives in Milton Keynes.
