What is the purpose of the study?<br />
To investigate the effects of stress on final year industrial design students<br />
Who is doing this research and why?<br />
This study is part of a Student research project funded by Loughborough University for<br />
submission of the design research module<br />
Are there any exclusion criteria?<br />
If you are not a final year industrial design student at Loughborough University<br />
Once I take part, can I change my mind?<br />
Yes! If at any time, before, during or after the sessions you wish to withdraw from the study<br />
please just contact the main investigator. You can withdraw at any time, for any reason<br />
and you will not be asked to explain your reasons for withdrawing.<br />
Will I be required to attend any sessions and where will these be?<br />
Yes, you may be asked to attend 2 design creativity tests after the results have been<br />
analysed. These will take place in Loughborough design school and dates are tbd.<br />
How long will it take?<br />
Each session will take no more than 10 minutes<br />
Is there anything I need to do before the sessions?<br />

Is there anything I need to bring with me?<br />
A pen<br />
What will I be asked to do?<br />
At the baseline session
You will be given a series of geometric shapes and asked to combine them into a new and<br />
original picture or story.<br />
At the repeat session<br />
You will be given a different set of shapes and asked to do the same exercise.<br />
What personal information will be required from me?<br />
Your name and email address.<br />
Are their any risks in participating?<br />
No.<br />
Will my taking part in this study be kept confidential?<br />
Yes, the data will be kept until the 31 st of March and the securely destroyed (apart from the<br />
copies submitted to Loughborough University which will remain confidential)<br />
What will happen to the results of the study?<br />
They will be submitted to Loughborough University<br />
What do I get for participating?<br />
For the creativity sessions, you will be rewarded with light refreshments.<br />
