I am pleased <strong>to</strong> present the<br />
2010-2011 edition <strong>of</strong> our<br />
annual <strong>Business</strong> <strong>Guide</strong>.<br />
On behalf <strong>of</strong> our Board <strong>of</strong><br />
Direc<strong>to</strong>rs, staff and volunteers,<br />
we thank all Members for their<br />
continuing support <strong>of</strong> this<br />
<strong>Guide</strong>, and for all our ongoing<br />
<strong>Chamber</strong> activities.<br />
The past year has been one <strong>of</strong> the most productive in<br />
recent memory. Based on a new Marketing Strategy, we<br />
have adopted a new name — <strong>East</strong> <strong>Kawartha</strong> <strong>Chamber</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>Commerce</strong> — along with a new corporate branding<br />
and advertising strategy. In the months ahead, we will<br />
make important progress in a number <strong>of</strong> related areas,<br />
including a new web site and an annual report.<br />
Guiding all <strong>of</strong> these matters is a determined effort <strong>to</strong><br />
advance and promote the interests and the well being<br />
<strong>of</strong> every <strong>Chamber</strong> Member. In particular, the coming<br />
year will be characterized by improvement in the<br />
distribution <strong>of</strong> <strong>Chamber</strong> events and services across all<br />
four Townships. As always, we will continue <strong>to</strong> make<br />
representations on your behalf on important matters <strong>of</strong><br />
public policy.<br />
