The gospel tells us that <strong>the</strong> only possible reason<br />

for God to give His Son to this world was love for<br />

His children. Christ was willing to deny "self" and<br />

to "take up his cross" and seek <strong>the</strong>m. It is an<br />

understanding of this truth which constrains His<br />

people to draw near unto Him. In this <strong>the</strong>re is a<br />

mutual love that cannot be distracted and which<br />

supersedes all o<strong>the</strong>r power in <strong>the</strong> universe. It<br />

provides a spiritual environment that makes <strong>the</strong><br />

materialism of heaven fade away, and its location<br />

becomes of little importance.<br />

This bond of love makes Christ's work in <strong>the</strong><br />

"true tabernacle" of supreme importance. The<br />

church on earth is very closely related to heaven, as<br />

<strong>the</strong> following counsel tells us:<br />

While Jesus ministers in <strong>the</strong> sanctuary above,<br />

He is still by His Spirit <strong>the</strong> minister of <strong>the</strong> church<br />

on earth.<br />

The happiness of heaven will be found by<br />

conforming to <strong>the</strong> will of God, and if men become<br />

members of <strong>the</strong> royal family of heaven, it will be<br />
