The latter rain will not produce shining faces<br />
which astonish <strong>the</strong> world and satisfy an ego<br />
clamoring for vindication, and longing for a<br />
remarkable display of power. "My thoughts are not<br />
your thoughts, . . . saith <strong>the</strong> Lord" (Isaiah 55:8).<br />
The power which <strong>the</strong> Holy Spirit brings will be in<br />
<strong>the</strong> message. That message will enable us to hear,<br />
and to see, and to know, that which we now resist.<br />
The Holy Spirit in that message will expose every<br />
deception, unveil every apostasy, and cast down all<br />
man-made policies. It will make God's glory and<br />
righteousness manifest in <strong>the</strong> remnant, "for <strong>the</strong><br />
hour of his judgment is come."<br />
Adventists and Adventism as embodied in this<br />
people must recognize that <strong>the</strong>y are <strong>the</strong> antitype of<br />
all that has ministered salvation prior to <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
existence. They could not come on <strong>the</strong> scene until<br />
<strong>the</strong> end of <strong>the</strong> 2300 years. They cannot complete<br />
<strong>the</strong>ir work now until <strong>the</strong>y understand that <strong>the</strong> latter<br />
rain, <strong>the</strong> Comforter in person, is to reprove <strong>the</strong><br />
world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment.<br />
This imperative of <strong>the</strong> Holy Spirit must first of all<br />
include <strong>the</strong> church. What Jesus could not say to <strong>the</strong><br />
