church will be made perfect only at <strong>the</strong> second<br />

coming of Christ." In <strong>the</strong> meantime sin is not all<br />

that bad, for God already has taken His vengeance<br />

so we need not be concerned. Really <strong>the</strong>re is not<br />

much calling for repentance—surely not anything<br />

as bad as killing God! They refuse to confess any<br />

part in such an act, for this would be beneath <strong>the</strong><br />

dignity of <strong>the</strong>ir "self." They are happy that God has<br />

taken His vengeance on Jesus instead of on <strong>the</strong>m.<br />

For <strong>the</strong>m <strong>the</strong>re is little need to cleanse <strong>the</strong><br />

sanctuary.<br />

But <strong>the</strong> record is in <strong>the</strong> "book," in Christ, by <strong>the</strong><br />

print of <strong>the</strong> nails and this settles <strong>the</strong> matter forever<br />

and sets <strong>the</strong> redeemed apart from <strong>the</strong> lost. With<br />

deep humility and repentance <strong>the</strong>y admit <strong>the</strong>ir sin,<br />

having driven <strong>the</strong> nails because of <strong>the</strong>ir hatred. But<br />

even more than a mere admission, <strong>the</strong> final<br />

atonement will include an internal conviction<br />

reaching <strong>the</strong> unconscious mind so deep and<br />

absolutely sincere that <strong>the</strong> full weight of this truth<br />

will bring complete reconciliation of man to God.<br />

No longer will he flee to hide; no longer will <strong>the</strong>re<br />

be embarrassment in God's presence; all enmity<br />
