V5 <strong>Military</strong> Police Investigation USAMPS<br />

a. Description of positions. Identifies positions requiring soldiers<br />

qualified in investigation of criminal offenses for which the maximum<br />

punishment is confinement at hard labor for less than one year; offenses<br />

involving larcenies of property valued at less than $1000 in<br />

which the occurrence does not involve another major crime or the<br />

stolen property is not of a sensitive nature; <strong>and</strong> offense involving use<br />

<strong>and</strong>/or possession of nonnarcotic controlled substances when the<br />

amount <strong>and</strong> other factors indicate it is for personal use only. Participates<br />

in activities for the prevention of crime outlined above.<br />

b. Qualifications. Must successfully complete the <strong>Military</strong> Police Investigation<br />

Course.<br />

c. Restrictions. For use with MOS 95B <strong>and</strong> 95C only.<br />

V7 Guidance Counseling USARRS<br />

a. Description of positions. Identifies positions requiring soldiers<br />

qualified to counsel enlistment applicants regarding specific options<br />

available for enlistment in the <strong>Army</strong>.<br />

b. Qualifications. Must successfully complete the appropriate Guidance<br />

(AH–64), Redstone Arsenal, AL (MOS 39B).<br />

(2) AH–64 Avionic Mechanics Course, Ft Gordon, GA (MOS 68N).<br />

c. Restrictions. For use with MOS 39B (SL 2 <strong>and</strong> 3 only), <strong>and</strong> 68N<br />

only.<br />

X2 Preventive Dentistry Specialty OTSG<br />

a. Description of positions. Identifies positions requiring soldiers<br />

qualified to perform reversible restorative dental procedures <strong>and</strong> oral<br />

hygiene prophylactic procedures, to implement individual <strong>and</strong> group<br />

oral disease control programs.<br />

b. Qualifications. Must successfully complete the Preventive Dentistry<br />

Course, AMEDD Ctr <strong>and</strong> School, Ft Sam Houston, TX.<br />

c. Restrictions. For use with MOS 91E (SGT <strong>and</strong> below) only.<br />

Y1 Transition PERSCOM<br />

a. Description of positions. See table 6–2 for position description of<br />

specific MOS.<br />

b. Qualifications. Must successfully complete training leading to<br />

award of ASI for MOS as listed in table 6–2.<br />

c. Restrictions. For use with MOS authorized use <strong>and</strong> effective date<br />

as reflected in table 6–2.<br />

Y2 Transition PERSCOM<br />

a. Description of positions. There are no positions identified for<br />

Transition (Y2).<br />

b. Qualifications. Awarded to soldiers holding MOS in Table 6–3 requiring<br />

transitory training.<br />

c. Restrictions. For use with MOS authorized use <strong>and</strong> effective date<br />

as reflected in table 6–3.<br />

Y5 TEMPEST Inspection OMMCS<br />

a. Description of positions. Identifies positions requiring soldiers<br />

qualified in inspecting systems for cryptographic security.<br />

b. Qualifications. Must successfully complete the TEMPEST Course<br />

for maintenance/installation supervisors.<br />

c. Restrictions. For use with MOS 35E <strong>and</strong> MOS 35W in TDA only.<br />

Y6 Cardiovascular Specialist OTSG<br />

a. Description of positions. Identifies positions requiring soldiers<br />

qualified to assist during specialized invasive cardiac tests <strong>and</strong> examinations.<br />

b. Qualifications. Must successfully complete the Cardiovascular<br />

Technician Course, AMEDD Center & School, Ft Sam Houston, TX.<br />

c. Restrictions. For use in TDA with MOS 91B (grades SPC through<br />

SFC) only.<br />

Y7 Sterile Pharmacy Specialty OTSG<br />

a. Description of positions. Identifies positions requiring soldiers<br />

qualified to perform sterile pharmacy practices leading to the preparation<br />

of items such as intravenous additives used to combat infection,<br />

restore <strong>and</strong> maintain electrolyte balance, <strong>and</strong> meet nutritional requirements.<br />

b. Qualifications. Soldiers must have successfully completed the<br />

Pharmacy Sterile Products Course, AHS, Ft Sam Houston, TX.
