6–1. General<br />

The following chapters in this part provide the procedural guidance<br />

for the classification of warrant officer personnel <strong>and</strong> positions. This<br />

publication is a complete compilation of authorized classification<br />

identifiers for warrant officer personnel <strong>and</strong> st<strong>and</strong>ards for grading<br />

warrant officer positions in authorization documents. No other classifications<br />

will be used for warrant officers in authorizations documents<br />

or strength reporting requirements.<br />

6–2. Changes to the warrant officer classification system<br />

Recommendations to the warrant officer classification system for<br />

additions, revisions or deletions should be submitted as provided in<br />

AR 611-1.
