V Ranger Parachutist USAIS<br />

a. Description of positions.Identifies positions requiring assignment<br />

of soldiers who are Ranger <strong>and</strong> parachutist qualified.<br />

b. Qualifications. Must successfully complete requirements for<br />

award of SQI G (Ranger) <strong>and</strong> P (parachutist) as outlined in AR 614-<br />

200.<br />

c. Restrictions. None.<br />

X Drill Sergeant (DS) TRADOC<br />

a. Description of positions. Identifies drill sergeant positions requiring<br />

the assignment of NCOs in grades of SGT through MSG. These<br />

positions will be classified in the MOS most closely related to the training<br />

activity <strong>and</strong> graded per lines 1, 2, <strong>and</strong> 3 of the st<strong>and</strong>ards of grade<br />

contained in table 3-1, provided the MOS contains the appropriate pay<br />

grade <strong>and</strong> skill level.<br />

b. Qualifications. Active Component (AC) NCOs must complete the<br />

Drill Sergeant Course (DSC) conducted at a U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Training Center.<br />

Reserve Component (RC) SPC/CPL thru MSG will attend the DSC<br />

of the division or brigade to which they are assigned or an AC DSC.<br />

U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Reserve soldiers in the grades of SPC/CPL (Drill Sergeant)<br />

may be granted a waiver for enrollment in the USAR DS program per<br />

AR 614-200. Award of SQI X for these graduates will be to track their<br />

status through the SIDPERS-USAR data base only.<br />

c. Restrictions. This SQI will not be removed or replaced by any<br />

other SQI while the individual is assigned to DS duties.<br />

courses:<br />

(1) Imagery Processing <strong>and</strong> Dissemination System Course (IPDS).<br />

(2) Tactical Radar Correlator Course (TRAC).<br />

(3) National Input Segment Course (NIS).<br />

Note: All courses are taught by system contractor.<br />

c. Restrictions. For use with MOS 33W <strong>and</strong> 96D only. Use of this<br />

skill identifier in authorization documents requires prior approval of the<br />

Office lof the Chief of <strong>Military</strong> Intelligence, ATTN: ATSI–MI, Ft<br />

Huachuca, AZ. Award of this skill identifier is strictly limited to the<br />

Chief of <strong>Military</strong> Intelligence.<br />

2C JAVELIN Gunnery USAIS<br />

a. Description of positions. Identifies positions requiring soldiers<br />

qualified in the employment of the JAVELIN medium antitank assault<br />

weapon system.<br />

b. Qualifications. Must successfully complete the JAVELIN Course,<br />

Ft Benning, GA.<br />

c. Restrictions. For use with MOS 11B <strong>and</strong> 11M (skill level 3 <strong>and</strong> below<br />

only) <strong>and</strong> MOS 19D (skill level 1 only).<br />

2G Counter-Signals Intelligence (C- USAICH&FH<br />

SIGINT) Operation<br />

a. Description of positions. Identifies positions requiring soldiers<br />

qualified to conduct C-SIGINT operations.<br />

b. Qualifications. Must successfully complete the Communications<br />

Security (COMSEC) Methodologies Course number 220, National Security<br />

Agency (NSA), various locations.<br />

c. Restrictions. For use with MOS 98H only.<br />

2S Battle Staff Operations USASMA<br />

a. Description of positions. Identifies positions requiring soldiers<br />

trained to serve as a Battle Staff NCO <strong>and</strong> manage the day-to-day operations<br />

of corps, division, regiment, group, brigade, battalion <strong>and</strong><br />

squadron comm<strong>and</strong> posts.<br />

b. Qualifications. Must successfully complete one of the following<br />

courses at the U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Sergeants Major Academy, Ft Bliss, TX:<br />

(1) The Battle Staff Noncommissioned Officer Course<br />

(BSNCOC). (2) The resident Sergeants Major Course (SMC) with a<br />

graduation date after Aug 95. (3) The BSNCOC at Ft McCoy, WI for<br />

Reserve Component only.<br />

c. Restrictions. For use with any MOS at SL 3 <strong>and</strong> above. This code<br />

will be used for G1/S1, G2/S2, G3/S3, or G4/S4 positions in battalion,<br />

squadron, brigade, group, regiment, division or Corps level TOE units<br />

<strong>and</strong> Active Readiness Group NCO Advisor positions <strong>and</strong> instructor positions<br />

for BSNCOC <strong>and</strong> Sergeants Major Course (SMC). Use of this<br />

skill identifier with any other position in authorization documents requires<br />

prior approval from Comm<strong>and</strong>ant, United States <strong>Army</strong> Sergeants<br />

Major Academy, ATTN: ATSS-B, Ft Bliss, TX 79918-8002.<br />

2T TENCAP Data Analyst USAIC&FH<br />

a. Description of positions. Identifies positions which require soldiers<br />

trained <strong>and</strong> experienced in the operation of ETUT/TUT/THMT TEN-<br />

CAP systems.
