1 Inspection NCO SFC 1. Principal NCO in Inspector General (IG) Office in U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Service School, Center,<br />

Installation or Garrison when IG position is graded MAJ <strong>and</strong> population served is 5,000<br />

to 8,000.<br />

2. Team member in IG office, section, branch or division performing maintenance <strong>and</strong><br />

tactical inspection on weapons, vehicles, communications equipment <strong>and</strong> its associated<br />

components.<br />

3. Maintenance <strong>and</strong> tactical inspection NCO positions will be MOS specific <strong>and</strong> reflect<br />

the MOS official title, followed by the suffix “insp NCO”.<br />

2 Asst/investigation NCO SFC 1. Action NCO in Assistance <strong>and</strong> Investigation section of the IG office.<br />

2. Additional assistant <strong>and</strong> investigation (IG) NCO positions will be graded SFC.<br />

3 Inspector general NCO MSG 1. Principal NCO in:<br />

a. IG office of U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Service School, Center, Installation, Garrison, Corps or<br />

MACOM when IG position is graded LTC <strong>and</strong> population served is 8,000 to 20,000.<br />

b. When grade of SGM is not authorized.<br />

2. Additional assistant IG NCO positions will be graded SFC <strong>and</strong> titled by line 1, explanatory<br />

note 3, or as “Asst IG NCO”.<br />

4 Inspector general NCO SGM 1. Principal NCO in IG office of MACOM, <strong>Army</strong>, CONUSA or higher Hq when IG position<br />

is graded COL <strong>and</strong> population served is 20,000 or more.<br />

2. Additional assistant IG NCO positions will be graded SFC <strong>and</strong> titled by line 1, explanatory<br />

note 3, or as “Asst IG NCO”.<br />
