DA staff and is the expert on how to raise, train and sustain forces. Their
knowledge allows them to determine Army requirements, develop and
structure forces, and how to modernize, station and maintain units using

Army Force Management School, Ft Belvoir, VA.

Title: Unit Air Movements Officer

a. Description of positions. Identifies positions responsible for
preparing/ensuring that units, to include their personnel and equipment,
are capable of air deployment. Requires knowledge of loading and
securing unit vehicles, equipment, and supplies and movement of unit
personnel on aircraft. Requires a working knowledge of air load
planning, documentation and procedures necessary for the successful
deployment of units world-wide and related strategic mobility missions.
b. Qualifications. Must be a graduate of the Air Deployment Planning
Course or have equivalent training, or experience.
c. Restrictions. None.

Title: NSA Junior Officer Cryptologic Career Program

a. Description of positions. Identifies positions requiring incumbents to
possess in-depth knowledge of strategic signals intelligence collection
and analysis processes. Duties include strategic signals intelligence
operations and interface between strategic and tactical intelligence
systems for officers assigned to Corps, Theater, and Army level units.
b. Qualifications. Individuals must have successfully completed the
three year National Security Agency Junior Officer Cryptologic Career
Program.
c. Restrictions. For use with positions coded and officers classified in
AOC 35G and for Aviation Intelligence Officers (AOC 15C) who possess
AOC 35G. May only be withdrawn by HQDA upon recommendation of
the CG, INSCOM. Positions of Commander and S3 of U.S. Army Field
Stations will be coded with this skill.

Title: M2 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle/M3 Cavalry Fighting Vehicle
Proponent: USAIS
a. Description of positions. Identifies positions which require an
incumbent who possesses detailed knowledge in the operation of the
M2/M3 Fighting Vehicle.
b. Qualifications. Individuals must have successfully completed the M2/
M3 Fighting Vehicle Commanders Course at Fort Benning or Fort Knox,
or have successfully completed the New Equipment Training.
c. Restrictions. For use with Armor and Infantry Branch AOCs only.

Title: Space Activities

a. Description of positions. Identifies positions that require the
assignment of officers who can apply technical knowledge of either the
space environment, space system composition and functioning, space
related technologies, or civilian-military operations. Such positions
require incumbents to formulate space policy, develop space related
operational concepts, and evolve doctrine of law; to conduct research in,
and development of technologies applied to the space environment,
testing, and acquisition of space systems; or to plan, evaluate and
implement the tactics and techniques for the operation and use of space
systems, including platform and/or payload control.
b. Qualifications. Individuals must have 1 year of successful duty
performance in a documented Space Activities (SI 3Y) position or
successful completion of the Joint Space Fundamentals Course and 6
months in a documented Space Activities (SI 3Y) position or successful
completion of Undergraduate Space Training or a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Aero Space Engineering, Aero Space Medicine, Robotics, or
other space related technical fields or completion of the elective Space
Activities portion of the CGSC.
c. Restrictions. The addition or deletion of SI 3Y from authorization
documents MTOE and TDA must be coordinated in writing and be
approved by the Commander, U.S. Army Space Command, ATTN:

Title: Operations Research/Systems Analysis

a. Description of positions. Principal duties are related to a branch or
functional area other than 49 and OR/SA training is applied as a
secondary aspect of the job. Positions which require the following skills
are appropriate for OR/SA skill coding:
(1) Analytical Skills.
(a) Experience with and ability to apply the "Scientific Method" to
problem solving.
(b) Deductive reasoning through basic statistical analysis and
hypothesis testing.
(c) Basic experimental design and sampling techniques.
(d) Basic computer programing.
(2) Application of existing methodology to problem solving.
(3) Exercise and update existing models.
b. Qualifications. The OR/SA Military Development Skills Course is the
standard entry level training for skill designation. In order to attend, an
officer must have a bachelor’s degree.
c. Restrictions. Can not be used with FA 49.
