c. Health Services (67A).<br />

(1) Description of duties. Plans, directs, manages, administers<br />

<strong>and</strong> participates in the functioning of health care facilities <strong>and</strong> organizations;<br />

advises comm<strong>and</strong>ers at all levels on aspects of health<br />

care delivery <strong>and</strong> the management of health care facilities. Participates<br />

at all levels of comm<strong>and</strong> in establishing <strong>and</strong> implementing<br />

policies <strong>and</strong> procedures affecting the U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Health Care Delivery<br />

System. Duties are performed in MTOE/TDA organizations,<br />

both CONUS <strong>and</strong> OCONUS.<br />

(2) Special qualifications. Must meet the qualifications from one<br />

of the AOC associated with MFA 70 as reflected in table 3-1 <strong>and</strong> be<br />

a graduate of the AMEDD Officer Basic Course. Must hold a<br />

baccalaureate degree from an accredited college/university in a discipline<br />

acceptable to The Surgeon General. Must have successfully<br />

completed the AMEDD Officer Advanced Course, CAS3, <strong>and</strong> the<br />

U.S. <strong>Army</strong> CGSC to hold executive positions at the LTC <strong>and</strong> COL<br />

levels. Specific duties <strong>and</strong> restrictions are referenced in table 3-1.<br />

Course <strong>and</strong> CAS3 to hold executive positions at the LTC level, <strong>and</strong><br />

must have successfully completed the U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Comm<strong>and</strong> General<br />

Staff College (CGSC) to hold executive positions at the COL level.<br />

(1) Description of duties. Plans, directs, administers, <strong>and</strong> participates<br />

in activities relating to various facets of nuclear medicine<br />

science, entomology, sanitary engineering, <strong>and</strong> audiology. Clinical<br />

duties are job specific, but all include research, staff assignments,<br />

instructor positions, <strong>and</strong> involve evaluation of hazards relating to the<br />

health, morale <strong>and</strong> the environment of personnel for whom DA is<br />

responsible, <strong>and</strong>/or any activity that will improve the health <strong>and</strong><br />

well-being of the soldier. Duties are performed in MTOE/TDA<br />

organizations, both CONUS <strong>and</strong> OCONUS.<br />

(2) Special qualifications. Must meet the qualifications from one<br />

of the MFAs associated with this AOC as reflected in table 3-1 <strong>and</strong><br />

be a graduate of the AMEDD Officer Basic Course. Professional<br />

qualifications for unrestricted practice in the MFA must be met.<br />

Must have successfully completed the Principles of <strong>Military</strong> Preventive<br />

Medicine course immediately or as soon as possible following<br />

AMEDD Officer Advanced Course. This requirement is waived for<br />

U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Reserve Officers pending development of a correspondence<br />

course option. Must have successfully completed the AMEDD<br />

Officer Advanced Course <strong>and</strong> CAS3 to hold executive positions at<br />

the LTC level, <strong>and</strong> must have successfully completed the U.S. <strong>Army</strong><br />

CGSC to hold executive positions at the COL level. Specific duties<br />

<strong>and</strong> restrictions are referenced in table 3-1.<br />
