PERSCOM Security Interviewer. Waivers will only be granted by<br />

ODCSPER (DAPE-MPA-RP). Service members reclassifying for<br />

MOS 95B must be interviewed by local Provost NCO (SFC or<br />

above) or Provost Marshal (CPT or above). Written endorsement<br />

must accompany re-enlistment contract.<br />

10–267. 95C—Corrections Specialist, CMF 95<br />

a. Major duties. The corrections specialist controls, supervises,<br />

<strong>and</strong> counsels military prisoners <strong>and</strong> manages confinement operations<br />

<strong>and</strong> correctional treatment programs. Duties for MOS 95C at each<br />

level of skill are:<br />

(1) MOSC 95C1O. Assists with supervision <strong>and</strong> management of<br />

military prisoners, <strong>and</strong> provides external security to confinement/<br />

corrections facility.<br />

(2) MOSC 95C2O. Supervises, counsels <strong>and</strong> manages military<br />

prisoners in confinement/correction facilities.<br />

(3) MOSC 95C3O. Supervises confinement facility operations,<br />

counseling, management, training <strong>and</strong> employment of military prisoners<br />

in confinement/corrections facility.<br />

( 4 ) M O S C 9 5 C 4 O . S u p e r v i s e s c o n f i n e m e n t f a c i l i t y o p e r a t i o n s<br />

<strong>and</strong> establishes procedures for counseling, management, training <strong>and</strong><br />

employment of military prisoners in confinement/correction facility.<br />

(5) MOSC 95C5O. Supervises <strong>and</strong> establishes procedures for all<br />

type activities within confinement/correction facility.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

M O S . T h e c o r r e c t i o n s s p e c i a l i s t m u s t p o s s e s s t h e f o l l o w i n g<br />

qualifications:<br />

(1) Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating moderately heavy.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 222221.<br />

(3) Red/green color discrimination.<br />

(4) A minimum score of 100 in aptitude area ST.<br />

(5) No court-martial convictions. No record of any disciplinary<br />

action under UCMJ which indicates behavior inconsistent with the<br />

high st<strong>and</strong>ards of corrections specialist.<br />

(6) No record of more than 15 days lost under section 972-10-<br />

USC, appendix 3, MCM 1068.<br />

(7) No record of civilian convictions other than minor traffic<br />

offenses.<br />

(8) No information in Provost Marshal Office, Intelligence Office,<br />

<strong>Military</strong> Personnel Record Jacket (MPRJ) or medical records<br />

whch would prevent the granting of a security clearance under AR<br />

604-5.<br />

(9) No record of pre-trial intervention or conviction by military<br />

or civil court of the following:<br />

(a) any offense involving force or violence.<br />

(b) Any offense listed under AR 601-210, para 4-22, misdeanor),<br />

or similar offense not listed for which the miximum possible sentence<br />

exceeds 4 months of confinement.<br />

(c) Two or more offenses within 5 years prior to the date of<br />

enlistment listed under AR 601-210, para 4-21, (minor non-traffic),<br />

or similar offense not listed for which the maximum possible sentence<br />

is less than 4 months confinement.<br />

(10) Must possess a valid statemotor vehicle operator.<br />

(11) Minimum age of 18 at time of entrance on active duty.<br />

(12) No medically diagnosed history of alcoholism, psychotic<br />

disorders, antisocial behavior, objection to bearing <strong>and</strong> use of arms<br />

when necessary of any hehavioral characteristic which may be considered<br />

prejudicial to the reliable performance of corrections specialist<br />

duties.<br />

(13) No record of possession or use of any narcotic or nonnarcotic<br />

drug as defined by Article 134, UCMJ <strong>and</strong> AR 600-50. (Pers<br />

a. Restriction on use of MOS. Use of this MOS for position<br />

c l a s s i f i c a t i o n i s a u t h o r i z e d o n l y w i t h a p p r o v a l o f C o m m a n d e r ,<br />

USACIC.<br />

b. Major duties. The CID Special Agent supervises or conducts<br />

investigations of incidents <strong>and</strong> offenses or allegations of criminality<br />

affecting DA or DOD personnel, property, facilities, or activities.<br />

Duties for MOS 95D at each level of skill are:<br />

(1) MOSC 95D2O. Assists in investigations of incidents <strong>and</strong> offenses<br />

or allegations of criminality.<br />

(2) MOSC 95D3O. Investigates incidents <strong>and</strong> offenses or allegations<br />

of criminality.<br />

(3) MOSC 95D4O. Investigates incidents <strong>and</strong> offenses or allegations<br />

of criminality, reviews completed cases <strong>and</strong> processes evidence.<br />

Serves as Chief of Investigative Support.<br />

(4) MOSC 95D5O. Assists in staff management or provides NCO<br />

direction to units engaged in criminal investigative operations.<br />

c. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

M O S . T h e C I D S p e c i a l A g e n t m u s t p o s s e s s t h e f o l l o w i n g<br />

qualifications:<br />

(1) Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating—N/A.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 222221.<br />

(3) Normal color vision.<br />

(4) A minimum score of 110 in aptitude area ST.<br />

(5) Must complete 95D course of instruction.<br />

(6) Must be able to speak <strong>and</strong> write clearly to express questions,<br />

conduct interviews, <strong>and</strong> present information when testifying.<br />

(7) Must be accepted or accredited by the Comm<strong>and</strong>er, USA<br />

Criminal Investigation Comm<strong>and</strong>, as provided by AR 195-3.<br />

(8) Must complete apprentice period, as provided by AR 195-3.<br />
