(4) MOSC 92Y4O. Performs supervisory <strong>and</strong> management duties<br />

shown at preceding level of skill. Analyzes statistical data <strong>and</strong><br />

reports to ascertain trends, conformance to st<strong>and</strong>ard <strong>and</strong> directives,<br />

<strong>and</strong> efficiency of operations. Coordinates logistical activities with<br />

other staff elements supply <strong>and</strong> service, <strong>and</strong> motor transport units.<br />

Conducts assistance visits to subordinate elements. Develops <strong>and</strong><br />

executes training programs.<br />

(5) MOSC 92Y5O. Supervises development <strong>and</strong> preparation of<br />

operations information, plans, maps, sketches, overlays, <strong>and</strong> related<br />

data to employ supply <strong>and</strong> service organizations. Contributes to staff<br />

development <strong>and</strong> operations of supply support data systems, equipment<br />

review, salvage <strong>and</strong> repair parts supply procedures. Performs<br />

liaison between staff <strong>and</strong> supported personnel to improve effectiveness<br />

of support activities. Conducts inspections <strong>and</strong> provides technical<br />

assistance to the Inspector General.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

M O S . U n i t s u p p l y s p e c i a l i s t s m u s t p o s s e s t h e f o l l o w i n g<br />

qualifications:<br />

(1) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of heavy.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 222222.<br />

(3) A minimum score of 95 in aptitude area CL.<br />

(4) Normal color vision.<br />

(5) M<strong>and</strong>atory formal training.<br />

(6) No documented instances in the last 5 years of conduct which<br />

reflects adversely on the character, honesty, or integrity of the soldier<br />

to include:<br />

(a) No conviction by court-martial or by any Federal or state<br />

court.<br />

(b) No juvenile adjudication by state court.<br />

(c) No punishment under Article 15, Uniform Code of <strong>Military</strong><br />

Justice (UCMJ) caused by incidents that reflect adversely on the<br />

soldiers integrity <strong>and</strong> lack of trust.<br />

(d) No letter of reprim<strong>and</strong>, censure, or admonition under the<br />

provisions of AR 600-37, chapter 3.<br />

(e) Voluntary confession after proper rights warning according to<br />

Article 31(b), UCMJ, or under applicable Federal or state law.<br />

Note. Disqualification under this paragraph is waivable by a military review<br />

board.<br />

(7) No other record of disciplinary action under UCMJ or pattern<br />

of behavior which indicates a lack of integrity or which is inconsistent<br />

with the 92Y position of trust.<br />

(8) No conviction or other adverse disposition for criminal offenses<br />

listed as a misdemeanor or felony as outlined in AR 601-210,<br />

chapter 4. This criteria is not waivable.<br />

a. Major duties. The senior noncommissioned logistician supervises<br />

soldiers engaged in supply, services, materiel management <strong>and</strong><br />

logistics operations. The critical duties for MOS 92Z are: Perform<br />

duties of MOS 92A <strong>and</strong> 92Y at the “5” skill level. Serves as<br />

principal NCO of supply <strong>and</strong> services operations. Supervises operation<br />

of organizations performing supply <strong>and</strong> related service operat<br />

i o n s s u c h a s t r a n s p o r t a t i o n , p r o p e r t y d i s p o s a l , a n d c o m m i s s a r y<br />

operations. Supervises management of materiel support functions in<br />

stock control <strong>and</strong> accounting, procurement, inventory control, <strong>and</strong><br />

item financial management. Supervises development <strong>and</strong> preparation<br />

of operations information, plans, maps sketches, overlays <strong>and</strong> related<br />

data to employ supply <strong>and</strong> service organizations. Contributes<br />

to staff development <strong>and</strong> operations of supply support data systems,<br />

equipment review, salvage <strong>and</strong> repair parts supply procedures, <strong>and</strong><br />

maintenance support systems. Supervises preparation of orders, operating<br />

instructions, reports, <strong>and</strong> related technical materials. Perf<br />

effectiveness of support activities.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

MOS. Senior noncommissioned logisticians, MOSC 92Z5O, must<br />

possess the following qualifications:<br />

(1) Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating—N/A.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 322332.<br />

(3) Minimum score in aptitude area—N/A.<br />

(4) Must possess finger dexterity in both h<strong>and</strong>s.<br />

10–260. 93B—Aeroscout Observer, CMF 93<br />

a. Major duties. The Aeroscout Observer participates in aerial<br />

observation operations in the observation/scout helicopter (OH58A/<br />

C). Duties for MOS 93B at each level of skill are:<br />

(1) MOSC 93B1O. Locates a target by grid coordinates. Performs<br />

navigation by pilotage <strong>and</strong> dead reckoning. Locates geographic coordinates<br />

on a map. Communicates by radio following established<br />

procedures. Transmits information using visual signaling techniques.<br />

Performs as a crewmember. Performs flight mission planning. Recognizes<br />

hazards to flight. Performs before takeoff, before l<strong>and</strong>ing,<br />

<strong>and</strong> after l<strong>and</strong>ing checks. Prepares situation report (SITREP) <strong>and</strong><br />

spot reports. Assists with radio navigation <strong>and</strong> vertical helicopter<br />

Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) recovery. Locates aeronautical data in<br />

DOD Flight Information Publications (FLIPS). Operates Identification<br />

Friend or Foe equipment/Selective Identification Feature (IFF/<br />

SIF). Assists with emergency procedures <strong>and</strong> performs emergency<br />

aircraft h<strong>and</strong>ling. Performs aerial observation. Identifies allied <strong>and</strong><br />

threat equipment <strong>and</strong> personnel. Directs close air support (CAS)<br />

strikes. Calls for/adjusts indirect fire. Performs target h<strong>and</strong>off to<br />

attack helicopters. Performs aerial radiological survey. Calls <strong>and</strong><br />

controls tactical airstrike/joint air attack team (JAAT). Formulates<br />

<strong>and</strong> transmits a pilot report (PIREP).<br />

(2) MOSC 93B2O. Performs duties described in paragraph (1)<br />

<strong>and</strong> provides technical guidance to subordinate personnel. Prepares<br />

<strong>and</strong> distributes operations maps, <strong>and</strong> overlays. Identifies location,<br />

strength, <strong>and</strong> tactical deployment of enemy <strong>and</strong> friendly units. Interprets<br />

maps <strong>and</strong> aerial photographs. Marks vehicle routes on map.<br />

Reproduces, distributes, <strong>and</strong> files documents.<br />

(3) MOSC 93B3O. Provides information for tactical deployment.<br />

Collects, reports, <strong>and</strong> evaluates intelligence information. Coordinates<br />

with adjacent <strong>and</strong> supporting elements. Evaluates routes <strong>and</strong> assembly<br />

areas for aerial combat operations. Prepares, assembles, <strong>and</strong><br />

distributes an operation plan/operation order/annex. Prepares fragmentary<br />

<strong>and</strong> warning orders. Requests preplanned close air support.<br />

Prepares enemy/friendly situation map.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

M O S . A e r o s c o u t o b s e r v e r s m u s t p o s s e s s t h e f o l l o w i n g<br />

qualifications:<br />

(1) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of medium.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 222111.<br />

(3) Meet <strong>and</strong> maintain the requirements for <strong>Army</strong> Class II Medical<br />

fitness st<strong>and</strong>ard per AR 40-501.
