and efficiency of operations. Coordinates logistical activities with
other staff elements supply and service, and motor transport units.
Conducts assistance visits to subordinate elements. Develops and
executes training programs.
(5) MOSC 92Y5O. Supervises development and preparation of
operations information, plans, maps, sketches, overlays, and related
data to employ supply and service organizations. Contributes to staff
development and operations of supply support data systems, equipment
review, salvage and repair parts supply procedures. Performs
liaison between staff and supported personnel to improve effectiveness
of support activities. Conducts inspections and provides technical
assistance to the Inspector General.
b. Physical demands rating and qualifications for initial award of

reflects adversely on the character, honesty, or integrity of the soldier
to include:
(a) No conviction by court-martial or by any Federal or state
court.
(b) No juvenile adjudication by state court.
(c) No punishment under Article 15, Uniform Code of Military
Justice (UCMJ) caused by incidents that reflect adversely on the
soldiers integrity and lack of trust.
(d) No letter of reprimand, censure, or admonition under the
provisions of AR 600-37, chapter 3.
(e) Voluntary confession after proper rights warning according to
Article 31(b), UCMJ, or under applicable Federal or state law.
Note. Disqualification under this paragraph is waivable by a military review
board.
(7) No other record of disciplinary action under UCMJ or pattern
of behavior which indicates a lack of integrity or which is inconsistent
with the 92Y position of trust.
(8) No conviction or other adverse disposition for criminal offenses
listed as a misdemeanor or felony as outlined in AR 601-210,
chapter 4. This criteria is not waivable.

principal NCO of supply and services operations. Supervises operation
of organizations performing supply and related service operat

a. Major duties. The Aeroscout Observer participates in aerial
observation operations in the observation/scout helicopter (OH58A/
C). Duties for MOS 93B at each level of skill are:
(1) MOSC 93B1O. Locates a target by grid coordinates. Performs
navigation by pilotage and dead reckoning. Locates geographic coordinates
on a map. Communicates by radio following established
procedures. Transmits information using visual signaling techniques.
Performs as a crewmember. Performs flight mission planning. Recognizes
hazards to flight. Performs before takeoff, before landing,
and after landing checks. Prepares situation report (SITREP) and
spot reports. Assists with radio navigation and vertical helicopter
Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) recovery. Locates aeronautical data in
DOD Flight Information Publications (FLIPS). Operates Identification
Friend or Foe equipment/Selective Identification Feature (IFF/
SIF). Assists with emergency procedures and performs emergency
aircraft handling. Performs aerial observation. Identifies allied and
threat equipment and personnel. Directs close air support (CAS)
strikes. Calls for/adjusts indirect fire. Performs target handoff to
attack helicopters. Performs aerial radiological survey. Calls and
controls tactical airstrike/joint air attack team (JAAT). Formulates
and transmits a pilot report (PIREP).
(2) MOSC 93B2O. Performs duties described in paragraph (1)
and provides technical guidance to subordinate personnel. Prepares
and distributes operations maps, and overlays. Identifies location,
strength, and tactical deployment of enemy and friendly units. Interprets
maps and aerial photographs. Marks vehicle routes on map.
Reproduces, distributes, and files documents.
(3) MOSC 93B3O. Provides information for tactical deployment.
Collects, reports, and evaluates intelligence information. Coordinates
with adjacent and supporting elements. Evaluates routes and assembly
areas for aerial combat operations. Prepares, assembles, and
distributes an operation plan/operation order/annex. Prepares fragmentary
and warning orders. Requests preplanned close air support.
Prepares enemy/friendly situation map.
