10–250. 91M—Hospital Food Service Specialist (Hosp<br />

Food Svc Sp), CMF 91<br />

a. Major duties. The hospital food service specialist assists in the<br />

supervision of medical nutrition care operations, or plans, prepares,<br />

cooks, <strong>and</strong> serves food for regular <strong>and</strong> modified diets in field <strong>and</strong><br />

fixed hospitals. Duties for MOS 91M at each skill level are:<br />

(1) MOSC 91M1O. Performs basic clinical dietetic functions in<br />

the dietary management <strong>and</strong> treatment of patients. Prepares, cooks,<br />

<strong>and</strong> serves modified <strong>and</strong> regular food items according to nutrition<br />

care treatment plans under the supervision of a dietitian or NCO.<br />

(2) MOSC 91M2O. Performs <strong>and</strong> supervises basic clinical dietetic<br />

functions in the dietary management <strong>and</strong> treatment of patients.<br />

Supervises, prepares, cooks, <strong>and</strong> serves modified <strong>and</strong> regular food<br />

items according to nutrition care treatment plans under supervision<br />

of a dietitian or senior NCO.<br />

(3) MOSC 91M3O. Supervises the clinical dietetic management<br />

aspects in nutrition clinics, clinical dietetic branches, or production<br />

<strong>and</strong> service branches in nutrition care divisions. Supervises <strong>and</strong><br />

assists in the preparation, cooking, <strong>and</strong> serving of modified <strong>and</strong><br />

regular food items.<br />

(4) MOSC 91M4O. Supervises the production <strong>and</strong> service branch<br />

in nutrition care divisions.<br />

(5) MOSC 91M5O. Supervises the nutrition care divisions or<br />

appropriate headquarters staff position.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

MOS. The hospital food service specialist must possess the following<br />

qualifications:<br />

(1) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of moderately heavy.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 222332.<br />

(3) Normal color vision.<br />

(4) A minimum score of 100 in aptitude area OF.<br />

(5) Formal training as follows or meet the civilian acquired skills<br />

criteria listed in AR 611-210:<br />

(a) Successfully complete the Food Service Specialist (Resident)<br />

Course (94B1O) or have been awarded MOS 94B <strong>and</strong> complete the<br />

Hospital Food Service Specialist (Resident) Course (MOS 91M1O).<br />

If grade SSG or above at the time of initial classification into MOS<br />

91M, qualification above must be met <strong>and</strong> attendance at the Advanced<br />

Hospital Food Service Specialist (Resident) Course (MOS<br />

91M3O) successfully completed before award of the MOS.<br />

(b) For RC only. Qualified as Food Service Specialist (MOS<br />

94B), attained certificate of completion of Hospital Food Service<br />

Specialist (Basic) Correspondence Course; successfully complete the<br />

2 week RC resident training at the Academy of Health Sciences, <strong>and</strong><br />

complete a 2 week active duty experience in an <strong>Army</strong> nutrition care<br />

activity, with favorable recommendation from Chief, Nutrition Care<br />

Division.<br />

c. Additional skill identifiers.<br />

(1) P5—Master Fitness Trainer.<br />

(2) 2S—Battle Staff Operations (skill level 3 <strong>and</strong> above).<br />

(3) 4A—Reclassification Training.<br />

d. Physical requirements <strong>and</strong> st<strong>and</strong>ards of grade. Physical requirements<br />

<strong>and</strong> SG relating to each skill level are listed in the<br />

following tables:<br />

10–251. 91P—Radiology Specialist, CMF 91<br />

a. Major duties. The radiology specialist operates fixed <strong>and</strong> portable<br />

radiology equipment or supervises radiology activities. MOS<br />

91P personnel require good eye-h<strong>and</strong> coordination <strong>and</strong> manual dexterity,<br />

no aversion to the sight of blood <strong>and</strong> be able to st<strong>and</strong> for long<br />

periods of time.<br />

(1) MOSC 91P1O. Operates fixed <strong>and</strong> portable Radiology equipment;<br />

Reads <strong>and</strong> interprets radiographic requests <strong>and</strong> physician’s<br />

orders.Transports <strong>and</strong> escorts patients within the radiology area.<br />

Prepares, assembles <strong>and</strong> adjusts instruments, materials <strong>and</strong> equipment.<br />

Performs radiographic examinations of the upper <strong>and</strong> lower<br />

extremities, vertebral column, trunk <strong>and</strong> skull. Performs soft tissue<br />

radiographic examinations <strong>and</strong> bone surveys. Assist in performing<br />

b o d y s e c t i o n r a d i o g r a p h y , f o r e i g n b o d y l o c a l i z a t i o n , p r e n a t a l ,<br />

pediatric, urogenital, <strong>and</strong> radiographic examinations of respiratory,<br />

vascular <strong>and</strong> nervous systems. Cleans intensifying screens. Develops<br />

radiographic film using automatic <strong>and</strong> manual processing. Applies<br />

radiation, electrical <strong>and</strong> mechanical protective measures. Maintains<br />

daily ledger <strong>and</strong> performs routine patient administration. Maintains<br />

patient locator file, radiographic files, <strong>and</strong> report files. Inspects <strong>and</strong><br />

performs operator maintenance on radiology equipment. Packs, unpacks,<br />

loads <strong>and</strong> unloads radiology equipment, assembles <strong>and</strong> dissembles<br />

radiology equipment <strong>and</strong> shelters.<br />

(2) MOSC 91P2O. Operates fixed <strong>and</strong> portable Radiology equipm<br />

e n t . P e r f o r m s d u t i e s s h o w n i n p r e c e d i n g l e v e l o f s k i l l a n d<br />

provides technical guidance to lower grade personnel in accomplishment<br />

of their duties. Disseminates radiographic reports. Assembles<br />

r a d i o g r a p h s f o r r e a d i n g . P e r f o r m s b o d y s e c t i o n , p r e n a t a l , a n d<br />

pediatric radiographic procedures. Performs follow-up radiographic<br />

examinations of the digestive, urogenital, respiratory, vascular, <strong>and</strong><br />

nervous systems. Assists with special radiographic <strong>and</strong> fluoroscopic<br />

p r o c e d u r e s . R e q u i s i t i o n s a n d m a i n t a i n s n e c e s s a r y l e v e l s o f<br />

radiographic/medical supplies. Evaluates radiographic personnel performance.<br />

Counsels radiographic personnel <strong>and</strong> prepares evaluation<br />

reports. Supervises packing, loading, unpacking, assembly <strong>and</strong> dissembling<br />

of radiology equipment <strong>and</strong> shelters.<br />

(3) MOSC 91P3O. Performs complex or specialized radiographic<br />

procedures to include duties shown in preceding level of skill or<br />

activities medium-size Radiology activity. Inspects radiology activities<br />

for compliance with radiation safety procedures <strong>and</strong> to ensure<br />

orderly <strong>and</strong> clean environment for patient, <strong>and</strong> initiates corrective<br />

action. Organizes work schedules. Assigns duties <strong>and</strong> instructs personnel<br />

in technical procedures. Supervises operator maintenance on<br />

equipment. Prepares <strong>and</strong> updates unit <strong>and</strong> section SOP. Prepares <strong>and</strong><br />

conducts radiology training programs. Assists in quality assurance<br />

program. Coordinates radiographic examinations of patients.<br />

(4) MOSC 91P4O. Supervises large Radiology Activity. Performs<br />

duties shown in preceding level of skill. Establishes work priorities<br />

<strong>and</strong> distributors workload. Reviews, consolidates, <strong>and</strong> prepares technical,<br />

personnel, <strong>and</strong> administrative reports. Coordinates <strong>and</strong> site<br />

preparation for installation of radiographic equipment. Assist in personnel<br />

matters, supply economy procedures, <strong>and</strong> fiscal matters. Prepares<br />

manpower survey reports. Prepares the operating budget for<br />

Department of Radiology. Reviews operations to ensure compliance<br />

with JCAHO st<strong>and</strong>ards.<br />

(5) MOSC 91P5O. Supervises Radiology activity in MEDCEN,<br />

large MEDDAC or General Hospital. Performs duties shown in<br />

preceding level of skill. Instructs in the procedures for developing<br />

<strong>and</strong> conducting training of military <strong>and</strong> civilian radiographic technicians.<br />

Monitors the use, requirement, maintenance, <strong>and</strong> management<br />

of resources.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

MOS. X-ray specialists must possess the following qualifications:<br />

(1) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of moderately heavy.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 222221.<br />

(3) A minimum score of 110 in aptitude area ST.<br />

(4) One year of Algebra (9th grade or above).<br />

(5) Normal color perception <strong>and</strong> normal vision with or without<br />

corrective lens.<br />

(6) Females must not be pregnant.<br />

(7) For training (completion of MOS 91B course <strong>and</strong> MOS 91P<br />

course conducted under the auspices of the AHS) m<strong>and</strong>atory or<br />

meet the <strong>Army</strong> civilian acquired skill criteria listed in AR 601-210.<br />
