10–241. 88Z—Transportation Senior Sergeant
(Transportation Sr Sgt), CMF 88
a. Major duties. The transportation senior sergeant supervises the
operation and control of movement for personnel and cargo by air,
rail, motor transport and water. Manages and coordinates the operation
and maintenance of Army watercraft. Serves as the principal
NCO associated with SQI M in transportation companies. Assists in
the coordination and implementation of operations, administration,
training programs and communications activities. Accounts for location,
employment and deployment of organic operating equipment
and maintenance activities. Plans and lays out a maintenance shop
and facilities. Coordinates transportation actions with subordinate
a n d s e r v i c e d a c t i v i t i e s . C o n s o l i d a t e s , p r e p a r e s , r e v i e w s a n d
processes regular and special reports of command transportation and
watercraft activities.

10–242. 91A—Medical Equipment Repairer (Med Equip
Rep), CMF 91
a. Major duties. The medical equipment repairer performs maintenance
services and repairs of all medical equipment. This equipment
employs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, compressed gas
and steam, electrical/electronic, solid state, digital, microprocessor,
optical and radiological principles. Other major duties for MOS 91A
are at the following skill levels.
(1) MOSC 91A1O. Performs preventive maintenance checks and
services (i.e., test, operates, lubricates, adjusts, tightens, and cleans)
all medical equipment. Troubleshoots to isolate malfunctioning or
defective componentsand/or boards on medically related equipment.
Computes power and space requirements for installation medical
equipment and installs units to manufacturer’s specifications. Prepares
and submits medical equipment reports.
(2) MOSC 91A2O. Performs duties at preceding level. Contributes
to the development of medical maintenance Standing Operating
Procedures. Supervises and advises subordinate personnel.

maintenance. Supervises and advises subordinate personnel.
(4) MOSC 91A4O. Supervises medical maintenance operations in
medical facilities and medical logistic battalions. Performs installation
and acceptance inspections of medical equipment at depot level
maintenance activities.
(5) MOSC 91A5O. Supervises medical maintenance operations in
Major Commands, Medical Activities, Medical Centers, and Medical
Logistic Battalions.
b. Physical demands rating and qualifications for initial award of
MOS. The medical equipment repairer must possess the following
qualifications:
(1) A physical demands rating of moderately heavy.
(2) A physical profile of 222221.
(3) Normal color vision.
(4) A minimum score of 110 in aptitude area EL.
(5) Formal training (completion of MOS 91A course conducted
under auspices of Academy of Health Sciences) mandatory.
(6) Credit for one year high school Algebra or score of 45 or
higher on GED Test 5 (high school level).
c. Additional skill identifiers.

10–243. 91B—Medical Specialist (Med Sp), CMF 91
a. Major duties.
(1) The medical specialist provides emergency and routing outpatient
and inpatient medical care/treatment for battle and non-battle
casualties in both wartime and peacetime environments.
(2) Duties for MOS 91B at each level of skill are:
(a) MOSC 91B1O. Administers emergency medical treatment to
battlefield casualties, assists with outpatient care and treatment or
assists with inpatient care and treatment under supervision of physician,
nurse, physician’s assistant or NCO.
(b) MOSC 91B2O. Administers emergency and routine medical
treatment to battle and non-battle casualties, assists with outpatient
care and treatment and supervises field and clinical medical facilities
under supervision of physician, nurse or physician’s assistant.
(c) MOSC 91B3O. Supervises activities of field, clinical and mobile
treatment facilities.
(d) MOSC 91B4O. Supervises paraprofessional medical service
activities in large fixed and mobile treatment facilities.
(e) MOSC 91B5O. Must be qualified in an MOS in CMF 91
(Medical) at the “4” skill level. Supervises and provides technical
guidance within the Army Medical Department and Army Special
Staff Activities.
b. Physical demands rating and qualifications for initial award of
