a. Major duties. The transportation senior sergeant supervises the<br />

operation <strong>and</strong> control of movement for personnel <strong>and</strong> cargo by air,<br />

rail, motor transport <strong>and</strong> water. Manages <strong>and</strong> coordinates the operation<br />

<strong>and</strong> maintenance of <strong>Army</strong> watercraft. Serves as the principal<br />

NCO associated with SQI M in transportation companies. Assists in<br />

the coordination <strong>and</strong> implementation of operations, administration,<br />

training programs <strong>and</strong> communications activities. Accounts for location,<br />

employment <strong>and</strong> deployment of organic operating equipment<br />

<strong>and</strong> maintenance activities. Plans <strong>and</strong> lays out a maintenance shop<br />

<strong>and</strong> facilities. Coordinates transportation actions with subordinate<br />

a n d s e r v i c e d a c t i v i t i e s . C o n s o l i d a t e s , p r e p a r e s , r e v i e w s a n d<br />

processes regular <strong>and</strong> special reports of comm<strong>and</strong> transportation <strong>and</strong><br />

watercraft activities.<br />

10–242. 91A—Medical Equipment Repairer (Med Equip<br />

Rep), CMF 91<br />

a. Major duties. The medical equipment repairer performs maintenance<br />

services <strong>and</strong> repairs of all medical equipment. This equipment<br />

employs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, compressed gas<br />

<strong>and</strong> steam, electrical/electronic, solid state, digital, microprocessor,<br />

optical <strong>and</strong> radiological principles. Other major duties for MOS 91A<br />

are at the following skill levels.<br />

(1) MOSC 91A1O. Performs preventive maintenance checks <strong>and</strong><br />

services (i.e., test, operates, lubricates, adjusts, tightens, <strong>and</strong> cleans)<br />

all medical equipment. Troubleshoots to isolate malfunctioning or<br />

defective components<strong>and</strong>/or boards on medically related equipment.<br />

Computes power <strong>and</strong> space requirements for installation medical<br />

equipment <strong>and</strong> installs units to manufacturer’s specifications. Prepares<br />

<strong>and</strong> submits medical equipment reports.<br />

(2) MOSC 91A2O. Performs duties at preceding level. Contributes<br />

to the development of medical maintenance St<strong>and</strong>ing Operating<br />

Procedures. Supervises <strong>and</strong> advises subordinate personnel.<br />

development of medical maintenance St<strong>and</strong>ing Operating Procedures.<br />

Performs quality control functions at all levels of medical<br />

maintenance. Supervises <strong>and</strong> advises subordinate personnel.<br />

(4) MOSC 91A4O. Supervises medical maintenance operations in<br />

medical facilities <strong>and</strong> medical logistic battalions. Performs installation<br />

<strong>and</strong> acceptance inspections of medical equipment at depot level<br />

maintenance activities.<br />

(5) MOSC 91A5O. Supervises medical maintenance operations in<br />

Major Comm<strong>and</strong>s, Medical Activities, Medical Centers, <strong>and</strong> Medical<br />

Logistic Battalions.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

MOS. The medical equipment repairer must possess the following<br />

qualifications:<br />

(1) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of moderately heavy.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 222221.<br />

(3) Normal color vision.<br />

(4) A minimum score of 110 in aptitude area EL.<br />

(5) Formal training (completion of MOS 91A course conducted<br />

under auspices of Academy of Health Sciences) m<strong>and</strong>atory.<br />

(6) Credit for one year high school Algebra or score of 45 or<br />

higher on GED Test 5 (high school level).<br />

c. Additional skill identifiers.<br />

(1) P5—Master Fitness Trainer.<br />

(2) 2S—Battle Staff Operations (skill level 3 <strong>and</strong> above).<br />

10–243. 91B—Medical Specialist (Med Sp), CMF 91<br />

a. Major duties.<br />

(1) The medical specialist provides emergency <strong>and</strong> routing outpatient<br />

<strong>and</strong> inpatient medical care/treatment for battle <strong>and</strong> non-battle<br />

casualties in both wartime <strong>and</strong> peacetime environments.<br />

(2) Duties for MOS 91B at each level of skill are:<br />

(a) MOSC 91B1O. Administers emergency medical treatment to<br />

battlefield casualties, assists with outpatient care <strong>and</strong> treatment or<br />

assists with inpatient care <strong>and</strong> treatment under supervision of physician,<br />

nurse, physician’s assistant or NCO.<br />

(b) MOSC 91B2O. Administers emergency <strong>and</strong> routine medical<br />

treatment to battle <strong>and</strong> non-battle casualties, assists with outpatient<br />

care <strong>and</strong> treatment <strong>and</strong> supervises field <strong>and</strong> clinical medical facilities<br />

under supervision of physician, nurse or physician’s assistant.<br />

(c) MOSC 91B3O. Supervises activities of field, clinical <strong>and</strong> mobile<br />

treatment facilities.<br />

(d) MOSC 91B4O. Supervises paraprofessional medical service<br />

activities in large fixed <strong>and</strong> mobile treatment facilities.<br />

(e) MOSC 91B5O. Must be qualified in an MOS in CMF 91<br />

(Medical) at the “4” skill level. Supervises <strong>and</strong> provides technical<br />

guidance within the <strong>Army</strong> Medical Department <strong>and</strong> <strong>Army</strong> Special<br />

Staff Activities.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

M O S . T h e m e d i c a l s p e c i a l i s t m u s t p o s s e s s t h e f o l l o w i n g<br />

qualifications:<br />
