a. Major duties. The personnel information system management<br />

specialist operates <strong>and</strong> manages field personnel information systems,<br />

trains <strong>and</strong> assist system users, or monitors system activities. Duties<br />

for MOS 75F at each level of skill are:<br />

(1) MOSC 75F1O. Receives, reviews, analyzes, processes, distributes,<br />

<strong>and</strong> maintains personnel information files <strong>and</strong> supporting<br />

documentation. Prepares update cycle control documents <strong>and</strong> input,<br />

<strong>and</strong> transmits to servicing data processing facility. Maintains authorized<br />

strength levels, organizational, <strong>and</strong> systems control files. Exec<br />

u t e s a n d m o n i t o r s a u t o m a t e d i n t e r f a c e w i t h o t h e r a u t o m a t e d<br />

systems. Monitors status of unresolved errors <strong>and</strong> initiates required<br />

corrective action. Monitors processing of feedback from HQDA <strong>and</strong><br />

takes necessary corrective action. Monitors performance of systems<br />

users. Identifies problems <strong>and</strong> discrepancies. Provides assistance or<br />

refers resolution to superiors. Prepares correspondence <strong>and</strong> forms in<br />

draft <strong>and</strong> final copy. Posts changes to <strong>Army</strong> regulations <strong>and</strong> other<br />

publications. Prepares <strong>and</strong> maintains functional files per MARKS.<br />

(2) MOSC 75F2O. Performs duties <strong>and</strong> functions of the preceding<br />

skill levels <strong>and</strong> supervises field personnel information systems.<br />

Determines personnel requirements, establishes work priorities, organizes<br />

work schedules, assigns duties, <strong>and</strong> instructs subordinates in<br />

work techniques <strong>and</strong> procedures. Reviews cyclic <strong>and</strong> other reports to<br />

assess systems performance. Maintains liaison with servicing data<br />

processing facility <strong>and</strong> field managers of interfaced systems. Prepares<br />

<strong>and</strong> monitors plans for supporting mobilization.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

MOS. Personnel information system management specialists must<br />

possess the following qualifications:<br />

(1) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of moderately heavy.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 323222.<br />

(3) A minimum score of 105 in aptitude area CL.<br />

(4) A security clearance of SECRET.<br />

(5) Must be a high school graduate.<br />

(6) Formal training (completion of MOS 75F course conducted<br />

under the auspices of the U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Adjutant General School)<br />

m<strong>and</strong>atory.<br />

(7) A U.S. citizen.<br />

Sp), CMF 71<br />

a. Major duties. The personnel services specialist participates in<br />

occupational classification <strong>and</strong> management of manpower resources<br />

or supervises personnel management of manpower resources or supervises<br />

personnel management activities to include maintaining off<br />

i c e r a n d e n l i s t e d p e r s o n n e l r e c o r d s a n d p r o c e s s i n g p e r s o n n e l<br />

actions concerning service members <strong>and</strong> their family members. Duties<br />

for MOS 75H at each level of skill are:<br />

(1) MOSC 75H1O. Prepares reports on strength levels <strong>and</strong> status<br />

of personnel. Evaluates personnel qualifications for special assignment.<br />

Prepares <strong>and</strong> processes requests for transfer or reassignment.<br />

Processes centralized <strong>and</strong> decentralized promotions <strong>and</strong> reduction<br />

actions. Processes classification/reclassification actions. Prepares orders<br />

<strong>and</strong> request for orders. Prepares <strong>and</strong> maintains officer <strong>and</strong><br />

enlisted personnel records. Prepares <strong>and</strong> reviews personnel casualty<br />

documents. Monitors suspense actions. Initiates, monitors, processes<br />

personnel evaluations. Transfers records. Processes personnel for<br />

separation <strong>and</strong> retirement. Processes <strong>and</strong> executes Personnel Service<br />

Center SIDPERS level procedures <strong>and</strong> actions. Processes applications<br />

for OCS, warrant officer flight training, or other training.<br />

Processes recommendations for awards <strong>and</strong> decorations. Processes<br />

bars to reenlistment, suspension of favorable personnel actions. Initiates<br />

action for pass ports <strong>and</strong> visas. Processes requests <strong>and</strong> prepares<br />

identification tags <strong>and</strong> cards. Monitors appointment of line of<br />

duty, survivor assistance, <strong>and</strong> summary court officers. Processes line<br />

of duty investigations. Prepares letters of sympathy to next of kin.<br />

Types correspondence <strong>and</strong> forms in draft <strong>and</strong> final copy. Posts<br />

changes to <strong>Army</strong> regulations <strong>and</strong> other publications. Prepares <strong>and</strong><br />

maintains functional files per MARKS. Applies knowledge of provisions<br />

<strong>and</strong> limitations of Freedom of Information <strong>and</strong> Privacy Acts.<br />

(2) MOSC 75H2O. Performs duties shown at preceding skill level<br />

a n d p r o v i d e s t e c h n i c a l g u i d a n c e t o s u b o r d i n a t e s o l d i e r s i n a c -<br />

complishment of these duties.<br />

(3) MOSC 75H3O. Performs duties of <strong>and</strong> supervises the functions<br />

of the preceding skill levels. Supervises specific personnel<br />

functions in a small personnel office, Battalion S1 <strong>and</strong> personnel<br />

services support activity. Advises comm<strong>and</strong>ers on soldiers <strong>and</strong> personnel<br />

readiness <strong>and</strong> strength levels of supported reporting units.<br />

Reviews consolidated reports, statistics, applications, <strong>and</strong> prepares<br />

recommendations for personnel actions to higher headquarters. Reviews<br />

<strong>and</strong> prepares reports <strong>and</strong> data on strength (gains <strong>and</strong> losses)<br />

of personnel <strong>and</strong> makes duty assignments of enlisted personnel.<br />

Reviews cyclic <strong>and</strong> other reports to assess systems performance.<br />

Maintains liaison with servicing data processing facility <strong>and</strong> field<br />

managers of interfaced systems.<br />

(4) MOSC 75H4O. Supervises small personnel office, specific<br />

personnel functions, Battalion S1 <strong>and</strong> personnel services support<br />

activity. Performs duties of <strong>and</strong> supervises the functions of preceding<br />

skill levels to include quality assurance of product. Advises<br />

comm<strong>and</strong>er, adjutant <strong>and</strong> other staff members on personnel administration<br />

activities.<br />

(5) MOSC 75H5O. Performs duties of <strong>and</strong> supervises at preceding<br />

skill level including quality assurance, in a large personnel<br />

activity, while performing specialized or all encompassing personnel<br />

functions.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

M O S . P e r s o n n e l s e r v i c e s s p e c i a l i s t s m u s t p o s s e s s t h e f o l l o w i n g<br />
