b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

MOS. The patient administration specialist must possess the following<br />

qualifications:<br />

(1) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of medium.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 323221.<br />

(3) A minimum score of 95 in aptitude area CL.<br />

(4) Be able to type at minimum speed of 20 net words per<br />

minute.<br />

(5) Formal training (completion of MOS 71G course, or the RC<br />

ACCP nonresident—2 weeks resident course, conducted under the<br />

auspices of the AHS) m<strong>and</strong>atory or meet the civilian acquired skills<br />

criteria listed in AR 601-210.<br />

c. Additional skill identifiers.<br />

(1) P5—Master Fitness Trainer.<br />

(2) 2S—Battle Staff Operations (skill level 3 <strong>and</strong> above).<br />

e. Physical requirements <strong>and</strong> st<strong>and</strong>ards of grade. Physical requirements<br />

10–204. 71L—Administrative Specialist (Admin Sp), CMF<br />

71<br />

a. Major duties. The administrative specialist supervises or performs<br />

administrative, clerical, <strong>and</strong> typing duties. Duties for MOS<br />

71L at each level of skill are:<br />

(1) MOSC 71L1O. Types military <strong>and</strong> nonmilitary correspondence<br />

in draft <strong>and</strong> final copy. Employs basic principles of English<br />

composition <strong>and</strong> grammar in preparing correspondence. Proofreads<br />

typed documents against source documents. Assembles final product<br />

for review, authentication, or other disposition. Prepares registered<br />

or certified mail for dispatch. Opens, sorts, routes, <strong>and</strong> delivers<br />

incoming correspondence <strong>and</strong> messages. Prepares suspense control<br />

documents <strong>and</strong> maintain suspense files. Signs receipt for, <strong>and</strong> picks<br />

up registered <strong>and</strong> certified mail. Dates <strong>and</strong> dispatches outgoing correspondence<br />

<strong>and</strong> messages. Prepares <strong>and</strong> maintains functional files<br />

per MARKS. Receives publications, establishes <strong>and</strong> maintains publications<br />

library. Requisitions <strong>and</strong> stocks blank forms.<br />

(2) MOSC 71L2O. Performs typing <strong>and</strong> clerical duties shown at<br />

preceding level of skill <strong>and</strong> provides technical guidance on administrative<br />

matters to typists <strong>and</strong> clerical personnel. Proofreads correspondence<br />

for format, content, <strong>and</strong> use of authorized abbreviations.<br />

Answers inquiries from staff <strong>and</strong> advises personnel on administrative<br />

<strong>and</strong> clerical matters. Sets-up <strong>and</strong> maintain logs, rosters, status<br />

b o a r d s , c h a r t s , g r a p h s , a n d v i e w g r a p h s . C o m p o s e s r o u t i n e<br />

correspondence.<br />

( 3 ) M O S C 7 1 L 3 O . S u p e r v i s e s p e r f o r m a n c e o f a d m i n i s t r a t i v e<br />

functions. Reviews <strong>and</strong> edits correspondence prior to release, submission<br />

for signature, or other disposition. Conducts periodic review<br />

of files to ensure proper filing of correspondence. Controls use of<br />

reproduction facilities <strong>and</strong> reviews item to be reproduced. Plans <strong>and</strong><br />

organizes office operations to include publications <strong>and</strong> forms administration<br />

<strong>and</strong> office administrative procedures. Writes office SOP,<br />

job descriptions, <strong>and</strong> directives. Determines requirements for office<br />

equipment, supplies, <strong>and</strong> space. Plans layout of office. Requisitions,<br />

receives, inventories, <strong>and</strong> signs h<strong>and</strong> receipts for office equipment.<br />

Coordinates administrative activities with other organizational elem<br />

e n t s a n d s t a f f s e c t i o n s . E s t a b l i s h e s m a i l d e l i v e r y r o u t e s a n d<br />

schemes <strong>and</strong> arranges for pickup of distribution by messengers.<br />

Serves as custodian of classified documents. Signs receipts for, logs,<br />

inventories, files, <strong>and</strong> secures classified documents. Prepares documents<br />

for destruction or other disposition. Ensures proper accountability<br />

of documents based upon degree of classification.<br />

(4) MOSC 71L4O. Supervises administrative functions <strong>and</strong> performs<br />

duties at preceding level of skill at division, comparable, or<br />

higher level headquarters. Provides technical training <strong>and</strong> instructions<br />

to subordinates <strong>and</strong> supported units.<br />

( 5 ) M O S C 7 1 L 5 O . S u p e r v i s e s p e r f o r m a n c e o f a d m i n i s t r a t i v e<br />

functions in administrative or similar element at division, comparable,<br />

or higher level headquarters. Inspects subordinates units <strong>and</strong><br />

makes recommendations for elimination of deficiencies or improvement<br />

of administrative operations.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

M O S . A d m i n i s t r a t i v e s p e c i a l i s t s m u s t p o s s e s s t h e f o l l o w i n g<br />

qualifications:<br />

(1) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of medium.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 323222.<br />

10–205. 71M—Chaplain Assistant (Chap Asst), CMF 71<br />

a. Major duties. The chaplain assistant performs <strong>and</strong> provides<br />

specified elements of religious support mission in deployments,<br />

combat operations, training, <strong>and</strong> sustainment. Duties for MOS 71M<br />

at each level of skill are:<br />

(1) MOSC 71M1O. Performs religious support duties for Unit<br />

Ministry Team (UMT) programs, worship services <strong>and</strong> crisis intervention.<br />

Performs UMT functions in field <strong>and</strong> combat environment.<br />

Performs combat lifesaver tasks. Applies communication skills in<br />

crisis <strong>and</strong> potential suicide intervention. Supports the UMT family<br />

readiness program. Coordinates UMT activities <strong>and</strong> maintains physic<br />

a l s e c u r i t y o f U M T f a c i l i t i e s / e q u i p m e n t . S a f e g u a r d s p r i v i l e g e d<br />

communications <strong>and</strong> offerings. Arranges religious retreats <strong>and</strong> memorial<br />

ceremonies. Receives, screens <strong>and</strong> refers visitors <strong>and</strong> prospective<br />

counselee. Performs office administration functions using<br />

automated systems to include inventorying supplies <strong>and</strong> equipment<br />

<strong>and</strong> determining supply requirements. Maintains chaplain vestments<br />

<strong>and</strong> religious items.<br />

(2) MOSC 71M2O. Performs religious support duties in first level<br />

battle fatigue care. Provides for emergency ministrations on the<br />

battlefield. Prepares UMT section input to staff estimates, operation<br />

plans <strong>and</strong> orders. Implements specified elements of the Religious<br />

Support Plan (RSP) <strong>and</strong> Comm<strong>and</strong> Master Religious Plan (CMRP).<br />

C o o r d i n a t e s r i t e s , s a c r a m e n t s , o r d i n a n c e s , a n d t h e U M T f a m i l y<br />

readiness program. Organizes support for UMT programs, worship<br />

<strong>and</strong> small group training sessions. Conducts training on indigenous<br />

religious, cultural distinctions, <strong>and</strong> customs. Implements the religious<br />

support volunteer program. Provides intake interviews <strong>and</strong><br />

assessments.<br />

(3) MOSC 71M3O. Trains <strong>and</strong> performs religious support duties<br />

within the comm<strong>and</strong>er’s area of operation. Adapts UMT support to<br />

unit’s mission, enemy situation, terrain, troops <strong>and</strong> time available<br />

(METT). Coordinates the implementation of the RSP <strong>and</strong> CMRP.<br />
