AP, Ft Rucker, AL 36363-5000.<br />

(1) Aircraft pneudraulics repairers must possess the following<br />

additional qualifications:<br />

(a) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of heavy.<br />

(b) A physical profile of 222222.<br />

(c) Normal color vision.<br />

(d) A minimum score of 105 in aptitude area MM.<br />

(e) Formal training (completion of a resident MOS 67S course<br />

conducted under the auspices of the U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Aviation School)<br />

m a n d a t o r y o r m e e t t h e A C A S P c r i t e r i a l i s t e d i n A R 6 0 1 - 2 1 0 .<br />

Waiver for formal training or ACASP criteria must be submitted to<br />

Cdr, USAAVNC, ATTN: ATZQ-AP, Ft Rucker, AL 36362 for<br />

approval.<br />

(2) Alcohol <strong>and</strong> drug abuse as defined below will disqualify any<br />

soldier or potential enlistee from this MOS. This disqualification<br />

will not be waived, even though the soldier/potential enlistee satisfactorily<br />

completes the <strong>Army</strong> Alcohol or Drug Abuse Rehabilitation<br />

Program or a civilian equivalent, except as specified below:<br />

(a) A medically diagnosed history of alcohol abuse as defined in<br />

the substance use disorder section of the Diagnostic <strong>and</strong> Statistical<br />

Manual III, 3rd Edition, 1980 (DSM III) is disqualifying. Cdr,<br />

PERSCOM may waive this disqualification after a soldier/potential<br />

enlistee in this MOS successfully completes the <strong>Army</strong> Alcohol <strong>and</strong><br />

Drug Abuse Prevention <strong>and</strong> Control Program (ADAPCP) Track I, II<br />

or III, or its civilian equivalent, based on the recommendations of<br />

the chain of comm<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> the Cdr, USA Aeromedical Center. A<br />

soldier/potential enlistee who completes any aspect of the ADAPCP<br />

program <strong>and</strong> is involved in an additional offense involving alcohol<br />

or alcohol abuse will be immediately reclassified or denied enlistment<br />

in this MOS as a high risk.<br />

(b) Except as provided in (e) below, a wrongful or improper use<br />

of narcotic or other controlled substance or dangerous drug as defined<br />

by 21 USC 801, et seq, is disqualifying.<br />

(c) A positive result of urine test administered per AR 600-85<br />

that leads to medical evaluation <strong>and</strong> a finding of “no diagnosis<br />

apparent, improper use” is disqualifying.<br />

(d) Except as provided in (e) below, a documented instance of<br />

the use, sale, transfer, possession, or manufacture of any narcotic or<br />

other controlled substance or dangerous drug as defined by 21 USC<br />

801, et seq, is disqualifying. A documented instance includes conviction<br />

by any courts martial or any civilian court. Convictions<br />

include juvenile adjudication, non judicial punishment under Article<br />

15, UCMJ, or voluntary confession after proper rights warning according<br />

to Article 31(b), UCMJ.<br />

(e) A soldier or potential enlistee will not be disqualified for<br />

t e e n a g e c i v i l i a n e x p e r i m e n t a t i o n w i t h m a r i j u a n a o r o t h e r c a n -<br />

nabinoids disclosed in voluntary confessions of drug experimentation<br />

documented solely by information obtained from DD Form<br />

1966, SF 88 or SF 93. (Experimentation is defined as one time use<br />

or casual use over a short period of time resulting from peer pressure.)<br />

The use disclosed must have occurred prior to the individual’s<br />

18th birthday, <strong>and</strong> prior to enlistment in any armed force.<br />

c. Additional skill identifiers.<br />

(1) A2—Aviation Safety.<br />

(2) P5—Master Fitness Trainer.<br />

(3) 2S—Battle Staff Operations (skill level 3 <strong>and</strong> above).<br />

(4) 4A—Reclassification Training.<br />

d. Physical requirements <strong>and</strong> st<strong>and</strong>ards of grade. Physical requirements<br />

<strong>and</strong> SG relating to each skill level are listed in the<br />

following tables:<br />

10–193. 68J—Aircraft Armament/Missile Systems Repairer<br />

(Acft Armt/Msl Sys Rep), CMF 67<br />

a. Major duties. The aircraft armament/missile systems repairer<br />

performs aviation unit (AVUM), intermediate (AVIM) <strong>and</strong> depot<br />

maintenance on electrical, electronic, mechanical <strong>and</strong> pneudraulics<br />

systems associated with aircraft armament, missile, <strong>and</strong> fire control<br />

systems. Other major duties for MOS 68J at each level of skill are:<br />

(2) MOSC 68J1O. Maintains aircraft armament/missile systems<br />

t o i n c l u d e e l e c t r i c a l , e l e c t r o n i c c o m p o n e n t s , s u b s y s t e m s a n d<br />

pneudraulics according to technical manuals, directives <strong>and</strong> safety<br />

p r o c e d u r e s . P e r f o r m s m a i n t e n a n c e , a u t h o r i z e d m o d i f i c a t i o n s a n d<br />

alignment on aircraft weapon components, fire control units, sighting<br />

elements, electronic <strong>and</strong> mechanical devices. Performs operat<br />

i o n a l c h e c k s , a m m u n i t i o n l o a d i n g / u n l o a d i n g a n d w e a p o n<br />

subsystems configuration changes for all aircraft fire control systems.<br />

Test/troubleshoots <strong>and</strong> repairs test sets <strong>and</strong> diagnostic equipment.<br />

Requisitions <strong>and</strong> maintains shop <strong>and</strong> bench stock for repair of<br />

aircraft armament/missile systems. Maintains facilities for storage of<br />

weapons, ammunition <strong>and</strong> weapons cleaning equipment <strong>and</strong> supplies.<br />

Uses <strong>and</strong> performs operator maintenance on common <strong>and</strong><br />

special tools. Maintains records on weapons <strong>and</strong> subsystems. Prepares<br />

forms <strong>and</strong> records related to MOS.<br />

(2) MOSC 68J2O. Performs duties described in paragraph (1) <strong>and</strong><br />

provides technical guidance to subordinate personnel. Participates in<br />

maintenance test flights as required.<br />

(3) MOSC 68J3O. Supervises <strong>and</strong> provides technical guidance to<br />

subordinate personnel performing aircraft armament/missile system<br />

maintenance. Evaluates maintenance operations <strong>and</strong> facilities for<br />

c o m p l i a n c e w i t h d i r e c t i v e s , t e c h n i c a l m a n u a l s , w o r k s t a n d a r d s ,<br />

safety procedures <strong>and</strong> operational policies. Performs maintenance<br />

trend analysis <strong>and</strong> applies production control, quality control, <strong>and</strong><br />

other maintenance management principles <strong>and</strong> procedures to aircraft<br />

armament/missile systems maintenance <strong>and</strong> shop operations. Superv<br />

i s e s t h e e s t a b l i s h m e n t o f t h e F o r w a r d A r e a R e a r m i n g P o i n t<br />

(FARP). Instructs personnel <strong>and</strong> conducts technical training in airc<br />

r a f t a r m a m e n t / m i s s i l e s y s t e m s m a i n t e n a n c e , s u p p l y a n d s a f e t y<br />

techniques. Evaluates the technical training program. Monitors requisition<br />

of parts, tools, <strong>and</strong> supplies.<br />

(4) MOS 68J4O. Supervises aircraft weapons <strong>and</strong> fire control<br />

systems maintenance <strong>and</strong> technical inspection activities. Determines<br />

manhours, personnel, parts, <strong>and</strong> facility requirements to repair airc<br />

r a f t w e a p o n s s y s t e m s a n d a s s o c i a t e d e q u i p m e n t . P l a n s a i r c r a f t<br />

maintenance areas, component repair shops <strong>and</strong> facilities. Instructs<br />

subordinates in aircraft weapons systems repair <strong>and</strong> technical inspection<br />

techniques <strong>and</strong> procedures according to directives, technical<br />

manuals, work st<strong>and</strong>ards, <strong>and</strong> operational policies. Maintains<br />

supply economy <strong>and</strong> discipline. Supervises the armament/missile<br />

systems technical training program. Prepares evaluations, special<br />

reports <strong>and</strong> records pertaining to aircraft weapons <strong>and</strong> fire control<br />

systems maintenance <strong>and</strong> relate activities. Recommends <strong>and</strong> administers<br />

plans <strong>and</strong> policies.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

MOS. Aircraft armament/missile systems repairers (MOS 68J) must<br />

be in grade specialist (E4) (non-promotable) or below unless they<br />

have held a CMF 67 MOS for a minimum of 12 months at skill<br />

level 1 or 2, 18 months at skill level 3 or 24 months at skill level 4.<br />

Waivers <strong>and</strong>/or exceptions must be approved by Cdr, USAAVNC,<br />

ATTN: ATZO-AP, Ft Rucker, AL 36363-5000.<br />

(1) Aircraft armament/missile systems repairer must meet the following<br />

qualifications.<br />

(a) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of very heavy.<br />

(b) A physical profile of 222221.<br />

(c) Normal color vision.<br />

(d) Minimum scores of 95 in aptitude area EL <strong>and</strong> 100 in aptitude<br />

area MM.<br />

(e) Formal training (completion of a resident MOS 68J course<br />

conducted under the auspices of the U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Aviation School)<br />

m<strong>and</strong>atory. Waiver for formal training criteria must be submitted to<br />

Cdr, USAAVNC, ATTN: ATZQ-AP, Ft Rucker, AL 36362 for<br />

approval.<br />

(2) Alcohol <strong>and</strong> drug abuse as defined below will disqualify any
