(4) MOSC 55D4O. Performs duties in the preceding grade levels.
Directs and supervises EOD range and area clearance operations.
Directs disposal operations for conventional and chemical munitions.
Coordinates EOD operations with Chemical Accident/Incident
Response Officer (CAIRO). Performs and maintains liaison with
supported units and civil and federal law enforcement agencies.
Assists in planning, coordination, and execution of unit operations
a n d m o v e m e n t s . A s s i s t s i n p r e p a r a t i o n o f o p e r a t i o n o r d e r s a n d
s t a n d a r d o p e r a t i n g p r o c e d u r e s . C o n s o l i d a t e s , e d i t s , a n d r e v i e w s

(5) MOSC 55D5O. Performs duties in the preceding grade levels.
Responsible for maintaining continuity of all unit operations and
movements. Supervises coordination and deployment of EOD response
teams over a wide geographical area. Supervises establishment
and maintenance of situation maps, journals, and technical
intelligence reports. Technical advisor at staff levels. Supervises
CONUS operations that support VIP missions for the U.S. Secret
Service, State Department, and other Federal agencies. Implements
orders, policies and procedures.
b. Qualifications for initial award of MOS. Explosive ordnance
d i s p o s a l s p e c i a l i s t s m u s t p o s s e s s t h e a d d i t i o n a l f o l l o w i n g
qualifications:
(1) A physical demands rating of very heavy.
(2) A physical profile of 111121.
(3) Normal color vision.
(4) A minimum score of 105 in aptitude area GM.
(5) A final security clearance of SECRET.
(6) Eligibility for assignment to a critical nuclear duty position.
(7) Eligibility for assignment to a Category II Presidential Support
position per AR 380-67.
(8) Mandatory formal training. The following training must be
completed prior to award of MOS 55D.
( a ) N o n - p r i o r s e r v i c e s o l d i e r s m u s t c o m p l e t e t h e M O S 5 5 B
course and successfully complete the MOS 55D training.
(b) In-service soldiers, with and MOS, may attend the explosive
ordnance disposal specialist course and must complete all phases of
training. Attendance of MOS 55B course is not required.
(9) Be an explosive ordnance disposal duty volunteer.
(10) Be non-allergic to explosives.
(11) Be able to wear M3 type protective clothing while performing
mission related functions.
(12) Be a U.S. citizen.

(13) Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator license.

10–157. 57E—Laundry and shower Specialist (Laundry
and Shower Sp), CMF 92
a. Major duties. The laundry and shower specialist supervises or
performs laundry, shower, delousing, personnel and clothing decontamination,
and reimpregnation functions. Duties for MOS 57E at
each level of skill are:
(1) MOSC 57E1O. Receives bulk, individual, or organizational
laundry and reviews laundry lists for accuracy of bundle count or
contents of individual laundry bag. Segregates, classifies, and marks
washable and unwashable items. Operates mobile washers, extractors,
dryers, reimpregnation, decontamination, and delousing equipment.
Sorts and issues cleaned laundry and equipment. Conducts
clothing exchange in conjunction with bag operations. Installs, inspects,
operates, and maintains laundry, shower, decontamination
and delousing equipment, and generators.
(2) MOSC 57E2O. Performs duties shown in preceding level of
skill and provides technical guidance to lower grade personnel.
Supervises establishment of laundry or shower facility. Supervises
marking, classifying, and washing operations. Coordinates flow of
personnel through shower and delousing operations with supported
units. Supervises preventive maintenance of laundry, shower, and
delousing equipment. Estimates supply requirements, requests supplies,
and supervises receipt, storage, and issue of supplies, clothing,
and equipment. Prepares facility layout.
(3) MOSC 57E3O. Performs duties shown in preceding level of
skill and provides technical guidance to lower grade personnel in
accomplishment of these duties. Plans shower reconnaissance operations
and organizes reconnaissance teams for selection of operat
i o n a l s i t e s . C o o r d i n a t e s w i t h m e d i c a l a u t h o r i t i e s f o r d e l o u s i n g
requirements. Determines personnel requirements and plans and supervises
training program. Prepares and develops cost and manpower
estimates.
(4) MOSC 57E4O. Determines requirements and adequacy of
laundry and shower activities and prepares operational plan to meet
requirements. Establishes, evaluates, and monitors unit training and
preventive maintenance programs. Consolidates production reports
and schedules.
(5) MOSC 57E5O. Performs duties shown at preceding level of
skill and provides technical guidance to lower grade personnel.
Instructs immediate subordinates in specific phases of command

commander and staff officers in appraisal of intelligence, operations,
and training procedures. Coordinates operating requirements of subordinate
units with major or subordinate units.
