Assists with the administrative duties necessary to support<br />

unit operations. Assists in preparing technical intelligence <strong>and</strong> incident<br />

reports.<br />

(3) MOSC 55D3O. Performs duties in the preceding grade levels.<br />

Performs or supervises render safe <strong>and</strong> disposal procedures on conventional,<br />

chemical, <strong>and</strong> improvised explosive devices. Develops<br />

new render safe <strong>and</strong> disposal procedures when none in existent or<br />

modifies existing procedures to adapt to new situations. Supervises<br />

transportation <strong>and</strong> storage of explosives <strong>and</strong> unexploded ordnance.<br />

Supervises operation of the ECCS <strong>and</strong> EPDS. Advises comm<strong>and</strong>ers<br />

on precautions <strong>and</strong> actions necessary when unexploded ordnance is<br />

located in their area of operation. Prepares technical intelligence <strong>and</strong><br />

incident reports. Advises military <strong>and</strong> civilian agencies on disposition<br />

of hazardous materials <strong>and</strong> searching techniques for improvised<br />

explosive devices. Performs administrative <strong>and</strong> supervisory functions<br />

in maintenance, security, supply <strong>and</strong> training management.<br />

Directs <strong>and</strong> supervises EOD range <strong>and</strong> area clearance operations.<br />

Directs disposal operations for conventional <strong>and</strong> chemical munitions.<br />

Coordinates EOD operations with Chemical Accident/Incident<br />

Response Officer (CAIRO). Performs <strong>and</strong> maintains liaison with<br />

supported units <strong>and</strong> civil <strong>and</strong> federal law enforcement agencies.<br />

Assists in planning, coordination, <strong>and</strong> execution of unit operations<br />

a n d m o v e m e n t s . A s s i s t s i n p r e p a r a t i o n o f o p e r a t i o n o r d e r s a n d<br />

s t a n d a r d o p e r a t i n g p r o c e d u r e s . C o n s o l i d a t e s , e d i t s , a n d r e v i e w s<br />

reports.<br />

(5) MOSC 55D5O. Performs duties in the preceding grade levels.<br />

Responsible for maintaining continuity of all unit operations <strong>and</strong><br />

movements. Supervises coordination <strong>and</strong> deployment of EOD response<br />

teams over a wide geographical area. Supervises establishment<br />

<strong>and</strong> maintenance of situation maps, journals, <strong>and</strong> technical<br />

intelligence reports. Technical advisor at staff levels. Supervises<br />

CONUS operations that support VIP missions for the U.S. Secret<br />

Service, State Department, <strong>and</strong> other Federal agencies. Implements<br />

orders, policies <strong>and</strong> procedures.<br />

b. Qualifications for initial award of MOS. Explosive ordnance<br />

d i s p o s a l s p e c i a l i s t s m u s t p o s s e s s t h e a d d i t i o n a l f o l l o w i n g<br />

qualifications:<br />

(1) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of very heavy.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 111121.<br />

(3) Normal color vision.<br />

(4) A minimum score of 105 in aptitude area GM.<br />

(5) A final security clearance of SECRET.<br />

(6) Eligibility for assignment to a critical nuclear duty position.<br />

(7) Eligibility for assignment to a Category II Presidential Support<br />

position per AR 380-67.<br />

(8) M<strong>and</strong>atory formal training. The following training must be<br />

completed prior to award of MOS 55D.<br />

( a ) N o n - p r i o r s e r v i c e s o l d i e r s m u s t c o m p l e t e t h e M O S 5 5 B<br />

course <strong>and</strong> successfully complete the MOS 55D training.<br />

(b) In-service soldiers, with <strong>and</strong> MOS, may attend the explosive<br />

ordnance disposal specialist course <strong>and</strong> must complete all phases of<br />

training. Attendance of MOS 55B course is not required.<br />

(9) Be an explosive ordnance disposal duty volunteer.<br />

(10) Be non-allergic to explosives.<br />

(11) Be able to wear M3 type protective clothing while performing<br />

mission related functions.<br />

(12) Be a U.S. citizen.<br />

(13) Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator license.<br />

10–157. 57E—Laundry <strong>and</strong> shower Specialist (Laundry<br />

<strong>and</strong> Shower Sp), CMF 92<br />

a. Major duties. The laundry <strong>and</strong> shower specialist supervises or<br />

performs laundry, shower, delousing, personnel <strong>and</strong> clothing decontamination,<br />

<strong>and</strong> reimpregnation functions. Duties for MOS 57E at<br />

each level of skill are:<br />

(1) MOSC 57E1O. Receives bulk, individual, or organizational<br />

laundry <strong>and</strong> reviews laundry lists for accuracy of bundle count or<br />

contents of individual laundry bag. Segregates, classifies, <strong>and</strong> marks<br />

washable <strong>and</strong> unwashable items. Operates mobile washers, extractors,<br />

dryers, reimpregnation, decontamination, <strong>and</strong> delousing equipment.<br />

Sorts <strong>and</strong> issues cleaned laundry <strong>and</strong> equipment. Conducts<br />

clothing exchange in conjunction with bag operations. Installs, inspects,<br />

operates, <strong>and</strong> maintains laundry, shower, decontamination<br />

<strong>and</strong> delousing equipment, <strong>and</strong> generators.<br />

(2) MOSC 57E2O. Performs duties shown in preceding level of<br />

skill <strong>and</strong> provides technical guidance to lower grade personnel.<br />

Supervises establishment of laundry or shower facility. Supervises<br />

marking, classifying, <strong>and</strong> washing operations. Coordinates flow of<br />

personnel through shower <strong>and</strong> delousing operations with supported<br />

units. Supervises preventive maintenance of laundry, shower, <strong>and</strong><br />

delousing equipment. Estimates supply requirements, requests supplies,<br />

<strong>and</strong> supervises receipt, storage, <strong>and</strong> issue of supplies, clothing,<br />

<strong>and</strong> equipment. Prepares facility layout.<br />

(3) MOSC 57E3O. Performs duties shown in preceding level of<br />

skill <strong>and</strong> provides technical guidance to lower grade personnel in<br />

accomplishment of these duties. Plans shower reconnaissance operations<br />

<strong>and</strong> organizes reconnaissance teams for selection of operat<br />

i o n a l s i t e s . C o o r d i n a t e s w i t h m e d i c a l a u t h o r i t i e s f o r d e l o u s i n g<br />

requirements. Determines personnel requirements <strong>and</strong> plans <strong>and</strong> supervises<br />

training program. Prepares <strong>and</strong> develops cost <strong>and</strong> manpower<br />

estimates.<br />

(4) MOSC 57E4O. Determines requirements <strong>and</strong> adequacy of<br />

laundry <strong>and</strong> shower activities <strong>and</strong> prepares operational plan to meet<br />

requirements. Establishes, evaluates, <strong>and</strong> monitors unit training <strong>and</strong><br />

preventive maintenance programs. Consolidates production reports<br />

<strong>and</strong> schedules.<br />

(5) MOSC 57E5O. Performs duties shown at preceding level of<br />

skill <strong>and</strong> provides technical guidance to lower grade personnel.<br />

Instructs immediate subordinates in specific phases of comm<strong>and</strong><br />

i n t e l l i g e n c e p r o c e d u r e s a n d e n e m y i n t e l l i g e n c e m e t h o d s . A s s i s t<br />

comm<strong>and</strong>er <strong>and</strong> staff officers in appraisal of intelligence, operations,<br />

<strong>and</strong> training procedures. Coordinates operating requirements of subordinate<br />

units with major or subordinate units.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

M O S . L a u n d r y a n d b a t h s p e c i a l i s t s m u s t p o s s e s s t h e f o l l o w i n g<br />

(4) MOS qualification may be attained by meeting the civilian<br />

acquired skills criteria listed in AR 601-210.<br />
