(3) MOSC 51M3O. Supervises rescue <strong>and</strong> firefighting operations<br />

during structural fires, aircraft crash incidents, vehicle emergencies<br />

<strong>and</strong> natural cover fires. Supervises emergency response crews during<br />

hazardous materials incidents. Conducts fire prevention operations<br />

including inspections <strong>and</strong> pre-fire planning.<br />

(4) MOSC 51M4O. Exercises comm<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> control during rescue<br />

<strong>and</strong> firefighting operations during structural fires, aircraft crash<br />

incidents, vehicle emergencies, <strong>and</strong> natural cover fires. Exercises<br />

c o m m a n d a n d c o n t r o l o f e m e r g e n c y r e s p o n s e d u r i n g h a z a r d o u s<br />

materials incidents. Conducts fire prevention operations to include<br />

determining building classification <strong>and</strong> installation level inspections.<br />

Develops plans for hazardous materials emergencies. Conducts initial<br />

fire-ground investigations.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

MOS. Firefighters must possess the following qualifications:<br />

(1) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of very heavy.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 111121.<br />

(3) Normal color vision.<br />

(4) A minimum score of 90 in aptitude area GM.<br />

( 5 ) A n o p e r a t o r ’ s l i c e n s e f o r t y p e o f e q u i p m e n t t o w h i c h<br />

assigned.<br />

(6) No record of pyrophobia, acrophobia, or claustrophobia.<br />

(7) Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator license.<br />

( 8 ) M a n d a t o r y f o r m a l t r a i n i n g ( c o m p l e t i o n o f U S A F C R S -<br />

X3ABR3E731-007) at Goodfellow AFB, TX; or meet the civilian<br />

acquired skills criteria listed in AR 601-210.<br />

(9) Meet visual acuity <strong>and</strong> hearing deficit st<strong>and</strong>ards set forth in<br />

DODI 6055.6 <strong>and</strong> NFPA 1582.<br />

10–144. 51R—Interior Electrician, CMF 51<br />

a. Major duties. The interior electrician supervises or performs<br />

installation <strong>and</strong> maintenance of interior electrical systems <strong>and</strong> equipment.<br />

Duties for MOS 51R at each level of skill are:<br />

(1) MOSC 51R1O. Installs <strong>and</strong> maintains interior electrical systems<br />

up to 600 volts. Reads <strong>and</strong> interprets drawings, plans, <strong>and</strong><br />

specifications. Installs service panels, switches <strong>and</strong> electrical boxes.<br />

Installs metallic <strong>and</strong> nonmetallic sheathed cable, conduit <strong>and</strong> special<br />

electrical equipment. Installs service drop. Uses test equipment to<br />

test operational condition of circuits. Assists in performance of combat<br />

engineer missions.<br />

(2) MOSC 51R2O. Supervises installation <strong>and</strong> maintenance of<br />

i n t e r i o r e l e c t r i c a l s y s t e m s . P l a n s e l e c t r i c a l s y s t e m l a y o u t u s i n g<br />

drawings, plans, specifications, <strong>and</strong> wiring diagrams. Coordinates<br />

construction planning <strong>and</strong> advises on electrical construction. Uses<br />

test equipment to isolate malfunctions <strong>and</strong> repairs defects in systems<br />

<strong>and</strong> components. Inspects interior electrical systems/components for<br />

proper installation in accordance with National Electrical Code <strong>and</strong><br />

local ordinances.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

MOS. Interior electricians must possess the following qualifications:<br />

(1) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of heavy.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 111221.<br />

(3) Normal color vision.<br />

(4) A minimum score of 95 in aptitude area EL.<br />

(5) Formal training (completion of MOS 51R course conducted<br />

under the auspices of the U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Engineer School) m<strong>and</strong>atory or<br />

meet civilian acquired skills criteria listed in AR 601-210.<br />

(6) No record of acrophobia or claustrophobia.<br />

Engring Sp), CMF 51<br />

a. Major duties. The technical engineering specialist supervises<br />

or participates in construction site development to include technical<br />

investigation, surveying, drafting, development of construction plans<br />

<strong>and</strong> specifications <strong>and</strong> performing quality control inspections. Duties<br />

for MOS 51T at each skill level are:<br />

(1) MOSC 51T1O. Assists in the performance of field <strong>and</strong> laboratory<br />

tests on construction materials, construction surveys, <strong>and</strong> drafting<br />

for military construction.<br />

(2) MOSC 51T2O. Performs field <strong>and</strong> laboratory testing on construction<br />

materials, construction surveys <strong>and</strong> design drafting for<br />

military construction.<br />

(3) MOSC 51T3O. Supervises technical engineering activities relating<br />

to construction surveying, drafting, <strong>and</strong> testing of construction<br />

materials. Compiles technical information <strong>and</strong> supervises subordinate<br />

personnel.<br />

(4) MOSC 51T4O. Plans, directs, inspects, <strong>and</strong> performs technical<br />

site development activities. Supervises duties performed by subordinate<br />

personnel.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

MOS. Technical engineering supervisors must possess the following<br />

qualifications:<br />

(1) Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of heavy.<br />

(2) A physical profile code of 221211.<br />

(3) Normal color vision.<br />

(4) A minimum score of 95 in aptitude area ST.<br />

(5) Have credit for two years of high school mathematics, to<br />

include algebra <strong>and</strong> 1 year of general science.<br />

(6) Formal training (completion of MOS 51T course conducted<br />

under the auspices of the USA Engineer School) is m<strong>and</strong>atory.<br />

c. Additional skill identifiers.<br />

(1) C7—Survey Instrument Repairer.<br />

(2) P5—Master Fitness Trainer.<br />

(3) 2S—Battle Staff Operations (skill level 3 <strong>and</strong> above).<br />

a. Major duties. The general engineering supervisor supervises<br />

general engineering activities related to all construction <strong>and</strong> utility<br />

o p e r a t i o n s . A s s i s t s e n g i n e e r i n g o f f i c e r i n c o n s t r u c t i o n p l a n n i n g ,<br />

scheduling, <strong>and</strong> material estimating. Assists in the preparation of<br />

operation orders, st<strong>and</strong>ing operating procedures, <strong>and</strong> contingency<br />

plans. Provides staff supervision <strong>and</strong> principal noncommissioned<br />

officer direction to units engaged in performing general engineering<br />

missions. Inspects construction <strong>and</strong> training activities. Supervises<br />

performance of combat engineering missions.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

MOS. General engineering supervisors must possess the following<br />

qualifications:<br />
