MOS. The fire control system repairer must possess the following<br />

qualifications:<br />

(1) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of very heavy.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 222222.<br />

(3) Normal color vision.<br />

(4) A minimum score of 95 in aptitude area EL.<br />

(5) A security clearance of CONFIDENTIAL.<br />

(6) A U.S. citizen.<br />

(7) Formal training (completion of MOS 45G course conducted<br />

under the auspices of the U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Ordnance Center <strong>and</strong> School)<br />

m<strong>and</strong>atory.<br />

c. Additional skill identifiers.<br />

(1) K4—M1A2 Tank Operations <strong>and</strong> Maintenance.<br />

(2) P5—Master Fitness Trainer.<br />

10–134. 45K—Armament Repairer (Armt Rep), CMF 63<br />

a. Major duties. The armament repairer supervises <strong>and</strong> performs<br />

direct/general support (DS/GS) <strong>and</strong> depot level maintenance/repairs<br />

on the mechanisms/systems of tank turrets/weapons, fighting vehicles,<br />

towed/self-propelled artillery, small arms <strong>and</strong> other infantry<br />

weapons. Duties for MOS 45K at each skill level are:<br />

(1) MOSC 45K1O. Performs ordnance armament DS/GS maintenance.<br />

Assists in correcting malfunctions on the mechanisms/systems<br />

of tank turrets, armament weapons, <strong>and</strong> cupolas.<br />

(2) MOSC 45K2O. Perform duties in preceding skill level, supervises<br />

lower grade soldiers <strong>and</strong> provides technical guidance to the<br />

soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties. Repairs turret mechanisms<br />

<strong>and</strong> tank weapons. Troubleshoots <strong>and</strong> corrects malfunctions.<br />

Provides technical advice <strong>and</strong> assists in assembling <strong>and</strong> disassembling<br />

the mechanisms <strong>and</strong> systems of turrets, cupolas, tank weapons,<br />

<strong>and</strong> self-propelled artillery.<br />

(3) MOSC 45K3O. Performs duties in preceding skill levels, performs<br />

small arms/artillery repairer (MOS 45B) duties, performs fire<br />

control repairer (MOS 45G) duties, supervises lower grade soldiers<br />

<strong>and</strong> provides technical guidance to the soldiers in the accomplishment<br />

of their duties. Inspects <strong>and</strong> troubleshoots fire control system<br />

components, towed artillery fire control systems, self-propelled artillery<br />

fire control systems, tank fire control systems, towed artillery<br />

armament systems, self-propelled artillery armament systems, fighting<br />

vehicle armament systems, tank armament systems, small arms<br />

weapons. Classifies equipment.<br />

(4) MOSC 45K4O. Perform duties in preceding skill levels, supervises<br />

lower grade soldiers <strong>and</strong> provides technical guidance to the<br />

soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties. Performs as senior<br />

advisor <strong>and</strong> supervisor of ordnance maintenance <strong>and</strong> repair crews<br />

engaged in DS/GS <strong>and</strong> depot maintenance on all mechanisms <strong>and</strong><br />

systems of armament/fire control turrets, artillery, <strong>and</strong> small arms.<br />

b. Qualifications for initial award of MOS. Armament repairers<br />

must possess the following qualifications:<br />

unit maintenance of vehicular-mounted armament including machine<br />

guns, associated fire control, <strong>and</strong> related systems on M60A1/A3<br />

tank <strong>and</strong> M48A5 tank turrets. Duties for MOS 45N at each skill<br />

level are:<br />

(1) MOSC 45N1O. Troubleshoots <strong>and</strong> performs unit maintenance<br />

on vehicular-mounted armament, associated fire control, <strong>and</strong> related<br />

systems <strong>and</strong> components of M60A1/A3 <strong>and</strong> M48A5 tanks.<br />

(2) MOSC 45N2O. Perform duties in preceding skill level, supervises<br />

lower grade soldiers <strong>and</strong> provides technical guidance to the<br />

soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties. Diagnoises <strong>and</strong> corrects<br />

malfunctions of vehicular-mounted armament, associated fire<br />

control, <strong>and</strong> related systems <strong>and</strong> components of M60A1/A3, <strong>and</strong><br />

M48A5 tanks.<br />

a. Major duties. The Bradley fighting vehicle system (BFVS)<br />

turret mechanic performs unit maintenance of vehicular-mounted<br />

armaments (including machine guns), associated fire control, <strong>and</strong><br />

related systems on the improved TOW vehicle (ITV), infantry fighting<br />

vehicle (IFV), cavalry fighting vehicle (CFV), <strong>and</strong> fire support<br />

vehicle (FISTV). Duties for MOS 45T at each skill level are:<br />

(1) MOSC 45T1O. Maintains (inspects, repairs, test, <strong>and</strong> adjusts)<br />

c a n n o n a s s e m b l i e s , t u r r e t m i s s i l e l a u n c h e r s , a m m u n i t i o n f e e d e r -<br />

loader systems, secondary armament systems, traversing systems,<br />

elevating systems, stabilization systems, electrical power distribution<br />

systems, electrical firing systems, hydraulic systems, <strong>and</strong> sighting<br />

<strong>and</strong> fire control systems.<br />

(2) MOSC 45T2O. Performs duties in preceding skill level, supervises<br />

lower grade soldiers <strong>and</strong> provides technical guidance to the<br />

soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties. Diagnoses <strong>and</strong> corrects<br />

malfunctions in vehicular-mounted armament, associated fire<br />

control, related systems <strong>and</strong> components of BFVS, the ITV, the<br />

FISTV, <strong>and</strong> related systems.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />
