Troubleshoots SPLL and the launcher loader module (LLM) electrical, electronic, mechanical assemblies, modules and interconnecting cables to isolate malfunctions. Replaces or repairs electrical, hydraulic and mechanical assemblies, modules, and cables determined to be faulty. Uses breakout boxes and built in test equipment (BITE) for fault isolation and verification or adjustment of electrical assemblies and modules of LLM. Repairs, replaces chassis mounted components on units under test. Operates system cable tester. Performs unit maintenance on system peculiar test, training, and ancillary equipment. Assist automatic test equipment (ATE) operator in fault isolating LLM electronic modules and assemblies to component level at organizational level. Prepares and maintains equipment logs, equipment modification and utilization records, exchange logs, and calibration data cards. Completes maintenance and supply forms and records. (2) MOSC 27M2O. Performs duties shown in preceding level of skill. Supervises lower rank soldiers and provides technical guidance to soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties. Monitors activities associated with maintenance of MLRS for potential problem areas and recommends improved procedures, if required. (4) MOSC 27M4O. Perform duties shown in preceding levels of<br />
skill. Supervises <strong>and</strong> coordinates support maintenance on TOW,<br />
DRAGON, BFVS, TFTS, <strong>and</strong> MLRS missile systems.<br />
b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />
MOS. Multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) repairer must possess<br />
the following qualifications:<br />
(1) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of very heavy.<br />
(2) A physical profile of 222221.<br />
(3) Normal color vision.<br />
(4) A minimum score of 95 in aptitude area EL.<br />
(5) A security clearance of SECRET.<br />
(6) A U.S. citizen.<br />
(7) Formal training (completion of MOS 27M Course conducted<br />
under the auspices of the U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Ordnance Missile <strong>and</strong> Munitions<br />
School) m<strong>and</strong>atory; or meet the civilian acquired skills criteria<br />
listed in AR 601-210.<br />

a. Major duties. The AVENGER system repairer supervises, performs<br />
<strong>and</strong> inspects unit level, direct support <strong>and</strong> general support<br />
maintenance on AVENGERsystem <strong>and</strong> associated components (less<br />
carrier <strong>and</strong> communications). Duties for MOS 27T at each skill<br />
level are:<br />
(1) MOSC 27T1O. Performs quality control measures. Performs<br />
maintenance adjustments on test equipment. Serves on maintenance<br />
<strong>and</strong> inspection teams. Inspects, tests <strong>and</strong> adjusts components to<br />
specific tolerances. Determines shortcomings <strong>and</strong> malfunctions in<br />
electronic, electrical <strong>and</strong> cryogenic assemblies, modules <strong>and</strong> circuit<br />
elements using system associated equipment. Removes <strong>and</strong> replaces<br />
defective line replaceable units (LRU), including interconnecting<br />
