(4) MOSC 23R4O. Performs duties in preceding skill levels, supervises<br />

lower grade soldiers <strong>and</strong> provides technical guidance to the<br />

soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties. Assists in establishing<br />

HAWK maintenance procedures. Coordinates <strong>and</strong> supervises<br />

HAWK maintenance activities <strong>and</strong> conducts technical inspections.<br />

Supervises the requisitioning <strong>and</strong> stockage of repair parts <strong>and</strong> supplies.<br />

Serves as a member of the maintenance <strong>and</strong> operations readiness<br />

inspection team.<br />

(5) MOSC 23R5O. Performs duties in preceding skill levels, supervises<br />

lower grade soldiers <strong>and</strong> provides technical guidance to the<br />

soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties. Evaluates, inspects,<br />

<strong>and</strong> coordinates maintenance <strong>and</strong> operational readiness activities in<br />

subordinate units. Advises the battalion comm<strong>and</strong>er on unit maintenance<br />

programs.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

MOS. Missile mechanics must possess the following qualifications:<br />

(1) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of heavy.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 222221.<br />

(3) Normal color vision.<br />

(4) A minimum score of 110 in aptitude area EL.<br />

(5) A security clearance of SECRET.<br />

(6) Formal training (completion of MOS 23R conducted under<br />

the auspice of the Comm<strong>and</strong>ant, USA Air Defense Artillery School)<br />

m<strong>and</strong>atory.<br />

(7) A U.S. citizen.<br />

c. Additional skill identifiers.<br />

(1) P5—Master Fitness Trainer.<br />

(2) 2S—Battle Staff Operations (skill level 3 <strong>and</strong> above).<br />

10–78. 24H—HAWK Fire Control Repairer (HAWK Fire con<br />

Rep) (Reserve Components), CMF 35<br />

a. Major duties. The HAWK fire control repairer supervises <strong>and</strong><br />

performs direct <strong>and</strong> general support maintenance on HAWK phase<br />

II fire control equipment. Duties for MOS 24H at each skill level<br />

are:<br />

(1) MOSC 24H1O. Performs direct <strong>and</strong> general support maintenance<br />

on the electronic systems of battery control center (BCC),<br />

information coordination control (ICC), <strong>and</strong> platoon comm<strong>and</strong> post<br />

(PCP). Performs tests <strong>and</strong> adjusts components to specific tolerances<br />

<strong>and</strong> determines shortcomings <strong>and</strong> malfunctions in electronic assemblies,<br />

subassemblies, modules, <strong>and</strong> circuit elements with common<br />

<strong>and</strong> system peculiar test equipment. Determines serviceability <strong>and</strong><br />

disposition of defective assemblies, subassemblies, modules, <strong>and</strong><br />

c i r c u i t e l e m e n t s . R e p a i r s u n s e r v i c e a b l e i t e m s b y r e m o v i n g a n d<br />

replacing defective components. Operates <strong>and</strong> performs unit maintenance<br />

on Mobile Team Shop (MTS), st<strong>and</strong>ard test equipment, <strong>and</strong><br />

system peculiar test equipment. Performs quality control measures<br />

<strong>and</strong> serves on maintenance <strong>and</strong> inspection teams. Prepares maintenance<br />

<strong>and</strong> supply forms.<br />

(2) MOSC 24H2O. Performs duties shown in preceding level of<br />

skill level, supervises lower grade soldiers <strong>and</strong> provides technical<br />

guidance to the soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties. Performs<br />

initial, in process <strong>and</strong> final type inspections of designated<br />

system items <strong>and</strong> their assemblies, subassemblies, modules <strong>and</strong> circuit<br />

elements. Installs equipment modifications <strong>and</strong> provides technical<br />

assistance to supported units.<br />

(3) MOSC 24H3O. Performs duties in preceding skill levels, supervises<br />

lower grade soldiers <strong>and</strong> provides technical guidance to the<br />

soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties. Establishes workloads<br />

<strong>and</strong> repair priorities. Recommends procedures for receipt, storage,<br />

inspection, testing <strong>and</strong> repair of items. Implements quality<br />

control measures, determines faulty work practices <strong>and</strong> demonstrates<br />

p r o p e r m a i n t e n a n c e a n d t r o u b l e s h o o t i n g t e c h n i q u e s . S u p e r v i s e s<br />

maintenance <strong>and</strong> inspection teams. Establishes <strong>and</strong> keeps maintenance<br />

records. Prepares maintenance reports. Organizes <strong>and</strong> conducts<br />

OJT programs.<br />

(4) MOSC 24H4O. Performs duties in preceding skill levels, supervises<br />

lower grade soldiers <strong>and</strong> provides technical guidance to the<br />

soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties.<br />

b. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

MOS. HAWK fire control repairers must possess the following<br />

qualifications:<br />

(1) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of medium.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 222221.<br />

(3) Normal color vision.<br />

(4) A minimum score of 110 in aptitude area of EL.<br />

(5) A security clearance of CONFIDENTIAL.<br />

(6) M<strong>and</strong>atory formal training (or waiver issued by Comm<strong>and</strong>ant,<br />

USAMMCS, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35897).<br />

(7) A U.S. citizen.<br />

a. Major duties. The HAWK continuous wave radar repairer supervises<br />

<strong>and</strong> performs direct <strong>and</strong> general support maintenance on<br />

HAWK phase II continuous wave radars. Duties for MOS 24K at<br />

each skill level are:<br />

(1) MOSC 24K1O. Performs direct <strong>and</strong> general support maintenance<br />

on electronic systems of the HAWK phase II continuous<br />

wave radar (CWAR) <strong>and</strong> high power illuminator radar (HIPIR).<br />

Performs tests <strong>and</strong> adjusts components to specific tolerances <strong>and</strong><br />

determines shortcomings <strong>and</strong> malfunctions in electronic assemblies,<br />

subassemblies, modules, <strong>and</strong> circuit elements with common <strong>and</strong><br />

system peculiar test equipment. Determines serviceability <strong>and</strong> disposition<br />

of defective assemblies, subassemblies, modules <strong>and</strong> circuit<br />

elements. Removes <strong>and</strong> replaces defective components. Prepares<br />

equipment for inspection. Operates <strong>and</strong> performs unit maintenance<br />

on support maintenance test equipment (SMTE) shop 3, mobile<br />

team shop (MTS), st<strong>and</strong>ard test equipment, <strong>and</strong> system peculiar test<br />

e q u i p m e n t . P e r f o r m s q u a l i t y c o n t r o l m e a s u r e s . P r e p a r e s m a i n t e -<br />

nance <strong>and</strong> supply forms.<br />

(2) MOSC 24K2O. Performs duties in preceding skill level, supervises<br />
