(1) MOSC 11H1O. Assaults and destroys enemy tanks and armor
vehicles, emplacements, weapons, and personnel with heavy antiarmor
weapons. Employs, fires, and recovers antipersonnel and antitank
mines. Locates and neutralizes mines. Operates, mounts/dismounts,
zeroes and engages targets with night vision sight. Performs
self extraction from a mine field. Orients a map. Operates and
maintains communications equipment and enter a radio net. Operates
in an NBC contaminated area. Constructs and camouflages

friendly and threat armored vehicles. Constructs and camouflages
dismounted fighting positions.
(2) MOSC 11H2O. Performs duties shown in preceding level of
skill. Leads a heavy anti-armor weapons squad in combat operations.
Provides tactical and technical guidance to subordinates and
professional support to both subordinates and superiors in the accomplishment
of their duties. Leads, supervises and trains subordinate
personnel. Calls for adjusting indirect fire. Evaluates terrain
and selects weapon emplacement. Installs and recovers electrical
and non-electrical demolition charges. Records operational information
on maps. Indicates location, strength, tactical deployment, and
emplacement of enemy and friendly units. Receives and implements
a combat order; directs deployment of personnel on offensive, defensive,
and retrograde operations. Conducts battle damage assessment
and repair. Knows threat formations and tactics thru battalion
size elements. Prepares, operates, and maintains secure communications
equipment.
(3) MOSC 11H3O. Performs duties shown in preceding level of
skill. Leads a heavy anti-armor weapons section in combat operations.
Provides tactical and technical guidance to subordinates and
professional support to both subordinates and superiors in the accomplishment
of their duties. Receives and issues orders. Supervises
the tactical deployment of the TOW section during offensive, defensive,
and retrograde operations. Ensures collection and proper reporting
of intelligence data to the unit. Prepares an anti-armor section
sketch.
(4) MOSC 11H4O. Performs duties shown in preceding level of
skill. Supervises heavy anti-armor weapons platoon. Provides tactical
and technical guidance to subordinates and professional support
to both subordinates and superiors in the accomplishment of their
duties. Supervises the occupation of an assembly area. Plans for,
supervises preparation of, and conducts NBC operations. Develops a
platoon training plan. Knows threat organization and tactics thru
regiment level. Plans for, coordinates resources for, and sets up a
multipurpose range complex for TOW qualifications exercises.
(5) MOSC 11H5O. Performs duties shown in preceding level of
skill. Supervises heavy anti-armor weapons companies in combat
operations and processes operations and intelligence information.
Provides tactical and technical guidance to subordinates and professional
support to both subordinates and superiors in the accomplishm
e n t o f t h e i r d u t i e s . S e r v e s a s t h e p r i n c i p a l n o n c o m m i s s i o n e d
officer in an infantry anti-armor company and supervises the processing
of operations and intelligence information in an infantry battali
o n o r h i g h e r l e v e l u n i t . P l a n s , c o o r d i n a t e s , s u p e r v i s e s , a n d
participates in activities pertaining to organization, training, and
combat operations and intelligence of units at battalion or higher
level.
b . P h y s i c a l d e m a n d s r a t i n g a n d q u a l i f i c a t i o n s f o r t h e i n i t i a l
award of MOS. Heavy antiarmor weapons infantrymen must possess
the following qualifications:
(1) A physical demands rating of very heavy.
(2) A physical profile of 111221.
(3) Color discrimination of red/green.
(4) Correctable vision of 20/20 in one eye; 20/100 in other eye.
(5) A minimum score of 90 in aptitude area CO.
(6) Formal training (completion of MOS 11H course conducted
under the auspices of the USA Infantry School) mandatory.

10–44. 11M—Fighting Vehicle Infantryman (FV
Infantryman) CMF 11 (Closed to women - see chapter 13).
a. Major duties. The fighting vehicle infantryman leads, supervises,
and serves as a member of a fighting vehicle unit or activity
employing vehicular and dismounted weapons in combat operations.
Duties for MOS 11M at each level of skill are:
(1) MOSC 11M1O. Performs duties as IFV driver, gunner, or fire
team member. Operates both mounted and dismounted to close with
and destroy the enemy. Employs, operates, and maintains assigned
weapons and equipment. Employs proper dismounted movement
techniques, cover, concealment, and camouflage as part of dismount
team. Performs basic communication functions and operates platoon
communications equipment. Constructs individual fighting positions.
Assists in the construction of fortification and barriers, including
minefields and obstacles. Assist in the breaching of minefields and
obstacles. Collects and reports tactical information as member of
combat or reconnaissance patrol. Operates IFV over varied terrain in
varied visibility. Conducts preventive maintenance checks and services
on the IFV and its components. Assists in target detection,
identification, and round sensing.
(2) MOSC 11M2O. Performs duties shown in preceding level of
skill. Performs duties as IFV gunner or team leader of dismounted
element. Provides technical and tactical guidance to subordinates
and professional support to both subordinates and superiors in the
performance of their duties. As team leader, leads infantry dismount
team in combat operations; processes operational and intelligence
data. Receives and implements combat orders. Evaluates terrain;
selects weapons placement sites; assigns target engagement areas
and fields of fire. Requests, observes, and adjusts direct and indirect
supporting fires. Supervises construction of fortifications. Records
operational information on maps; reads and interprets maps. Prepares
sector sketch of vehicle or dismount team positions and sectors.
As gunner, detects, acquires, identifies, and engages targets.
Maintains the turret and weapon systems of the IFV.
(3) MOSC 11M3O. Performs duties shown in preceding level of
skill. Perform duties as squad leader or section leader in IFV platoon.
Provides technical and tactical guidance to subordinates and
professional support to both subordinates and superiors in the performance
of their duties. Receives, issues, and implements orders.
Controls vehicular and dismounted weapons fire in mounted and
dismounted operations. Coordinates actions of the squad with adjacent
and supporting elements. Coordinates organic and supporting
firepower. Ensures collection and proper reporting of intelligence
data to unit and responsible staff sections.
(4) MOSC 11M4O. Performs duties shown in preceding level of
skill. Performs duties as platoon sergeant or operations sergeant.
Provides technical and tactical guidance to subordinates and professional
support to both subordinates and superiors in the performance
of their duties. Receives, issues and implements orders. Assists
platoon leader in controlling platoon in mounted and dismounted
operations. Assists in dissemination of intelligence information to
unit and staff sections. Assists in planning, organizing, directing,
supervising, training, coordinating, and reporting activities of subordinate
elements. Performs battle damage assessment. Supervises plat
