(6) MOSC 02-5O. Performs duties shown in preceding levels of<br />

skill, <strong>and</strong> provides technical guidance to lower grade personnel.<br />

Advises the comm<strong>and</strong>er on all aspects of b<strong>and</strong> operations <strong>and</strong> serves<br />

as the b<strong>and</strong> comm<strong>and</strong>er in the absence of the b<strong>and</strong> comm<strong>and</strong>er. Is<br />

the principal enlisted conductor of the b<strong>and</strong>.<br />

c. Physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating <strong>and</strong> qualifications for initial award of<br />

MOS. The b<strong>and</strong> member must possess the following qualifications:<br />

(1) A physical dem<strong>and</strong>s rating of light for MOS 02B, 02D, 02G<br />

<strong>and</strong> 02J <strong>and</strong> medium for 02C, 02E, 02F, 02H, 02K, 02L, 02M, 02N,<br />

02T <strong>and</strong> 02U.<br />

(2) A physical profile of 222222.<br />

(3) Meet qualifications listed in AR 614-200 or the civilian acquired<br />

skills criteria listed in AR 601-210.<br />

a. Major duties. The special B<strong>and</strong> Member performs as a musician<br />

or in direct support of the mission of The U.S. <strong>Army</strong> B<strong>and</strong>,<br />

U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Field B<strong>and</strong>, U.S. <strong>Military</strong> Academy B<strong>and</strong>, or the 3rd<br />

Infantry (The Old Guard) Fife <strong>and</strong> Drum Corps. Use of MOS 02S is<br />

restricted to the special b<strong>and</strong>s only. Duties for MOS 02S at each<br />

level of skill are:<br />

(1) MOSC 02S3O. Performs as instrumentalist or vocalist in field<br />

music detachment or special b<strong>and</strong>. Serves in administrative, training,<br />

supply, or operations positions.<br />

(2) MOSC 02S4O. Performs as solo instrumentalist or vocalist,<br />

NCO in an instrumental group, b<strong>and</strong> support technician, administrative<br />

<strong>and</strong> supply support, library support, <strong>and</strong> a senior vocalist music<br />

annotator/commentator.<br />

(3) MOSC 02S5O. Serves as principal NCO in instrumental or<br />

vocal group, special b<strong>and</strong>, or support section.<br />

10–41. 11B—Infantryman, CMF 11 (Closed to women - see<br />

chapter 13)<br />

a. Major duties. The infantryman supervises, leads, or serves as a<br />

member of an infantry activity that employs individual or crew<br />

served weapons in support of offensive <strong>and</strong> defensive combat operations.<br />

Duties for MOS 11B at each level of skill are:<br />

(1) MOSC 11B1O. Assists in the performance of reconnaissance<br />

operations. Employs, fires, <strong>and</strong> recovers anti-personnel <strong>and</strong> anti-tank<br />

mines. Locates <strong>and</strong> neutralizes mines. Operates, mounts/dismounts,<br />

zeros, <strong>and</strong> engages targets using night vision sight. Operates <strong>and</strong><br />

maintains communications equipment <strong>and</strong> operates in a radio net.<br />

Operates in a NBC contaminated area. Constructs field expedient<br />

firing aids for infantry weapons. Performs as a member of a fire<br />

team during a movement to contact, reconnaissance, <strong>and</strong> security, an<br />

attack, defense, situational training exercises <strong>and</strong> all infantry dism<br />

o u n t e d b a t t l e d r i l l s . P r o c e s s e s p r i s o n e r s o f w a r a n d c a p t u r e d<br />

documents.<br />

(2) MOSC 11B2O. Performs duties shown in preceding level of<br />

skill. Leads an infantry team in combat operations, providing tactical<br />

<strong>and</strong> technical guidance to subordinates <strong>and</strong> professional support<br />

to both superiors <strong>and</strong> subordinates in the accomplishment of their<br />

duties. Leads, supervises, <strong>and</strong> trains subordinate personnel. Calls for<br />

<strong>and</strong> adjusts indirect fire. Evaluates terrain <strong>and</strong> selects weapon emplacement.<br />

Controls organic fires. Installs <strong>and</strong> recovers anti-h<strong>and</strong>ling<br />

devices on anti-tank mines <strong>and</strong> electrical <strong>and</strong> non-electrical demolition<br />

charges. Supervises construction of hasty fortifications <strong>and</strong> rec<br />

e i p t , s t o r a g e , a n d i s s u e o f a m m u n i t i o n . R e c o r d s o p e r a t i o n a l<br />

information on maps. Receives <strong>and</strong> implements combat orders, directs<br />

deployment of personnel in offensive, defensive, <strong>and</strong> retrograde<br />

operations. Requests, observes, <strong>and</strong> adjusts direct supporting<br />

fire. Evaluates terrain <strong>and</strong> supervises the emplacement of sighting<br />

<strong>and</strong> firing all assigned weapons. Uses maps <strong>and</strong> map overlays,<br />

performs intersection <strong>and</strong> resection, <strong>and</strong> determines elevation <strong>and</strong><br />

grid azimuths. Leads a fire team during a movement to contact,<br />

reconnaissance <strong>and</strong> security, an attack, defense, situational training<br />

exercises, <strong>and</strong> all infantry dismounted battle drills.<br />

(3) MOSC 11B3O. Performs duties shown in preceding level of<br />

skill. Leads an infantry squad <strong>and</strong>/or a reconnaissance (scout) team<br />

during combat operations. Supervises tactical deployment of assigned<br />

element in offensive, defensive, <strong>and</strong> retrograde operations.<br />

Provides tactical <strong>and</strong> technical guidance to subordinates <strong>and</strong> professional<br />

support to both subordinates <strong>and</strong> superiors in the accomplishment<br />

of their duties. Receives <strong>and</strong> issues orders. Coordinates action<br />

of the element with adjacent <strong>and</strong> support elements <strong>and</strong> organic <strong>and</strong><br />

supporting fire power. Ensures collection <strong>and</strong> proper reporting of<br />

intelligence data to unit. Adjusts aerial fire support. Analyzes terrain.<br />

Conducts tactical operations for a squad, operations of a patrol<br />

base, <strong>and</strong> NBC operations. Maintains operational security. Prepares,<br />

operates, <strong>and</strong> maintains secure communications equipment. Leads a<br />

squad during movement to contact, reconnaissance <strong>and</strong> security, an<br />

attack, defense situational training exercises, <strong>and</strong> all infantry dismounted<br />

battle drills.<br />

(4) MOSC 11B4O. Performs duties shown in preceding level of<br />

skill. Supervises an infantry or reconnaissance (scout) platoon in<br />

combat operations <strong>and</strong> intelligence information gathering. Leads a<br />

platoon during a movement to contact, reconnaissance <strong>and</strong> security,<br />

an attack defense, situational training exercises, <strong>and</strong> all infantry<br />

dismounted battle drills. Provides tactical <strong>and</strong> technical guidance to
