SECRET.<br />

(c) Have normal vision correctable to 20/20; full use of both<br />

h<strong>and</strong>s; have normal hearing per AR 40-501.<br />

( d ) H a v e a p h y s i c a l p r o f i l e t o a l l o w a s s i g n m e n t t o r e m o t e<br />

locations.<br />

(2) CW3 must—<br />

(a) Meet qualifications described in paragraph f(1).<br />

(b) Complete both phases of the Warrant Advanced Course for<br />

CW2 (P) or CW3.<br />

(3) CW4 must—<br />

(a) Meet qualifications described in paragraph f(2).<br />

( b ) C o m p l e t e t h e W a r r a n t O f f i c e r S t a f f C o u r s e ( W O S C ) f o r<br />

CW3(P) or CW4.<br />

(4) CW5 must—<br />

(a) Meet qualifications described in paragraph f(3).<br />

(b) Complete the WOSSC.<br />

g. Duties.<br />

(1) WO1/CW2—<br />

(a) Coordinate the activities of maintenance personnel equipment,<br />

<strong>and</strong> site assets for the installation, repair, maintenance, <strong>and</strong> modification<br />

of the <strong>Army</strong> Air Defense Artillery FAAD Systems, ancillary<br />

equipment, <strong>and</strong> tools.<br />

(b) Plan, organize, implement, monitor, <strong>and</strong> evaluate operations<br />

<strong>and</strong> unit maintenance, of the FAAD weapon system.<br />

(c) Advise the comm<strong>and</strong>er on march order <strong>and</strong> emplacement of<br />

the FAAD system.<br />

(d) Develop <strong>and</strong> implement maintenance st<strong>and</strong>ard operating procedure<br />

(SOP).<br />

(e) Evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance programs <strong>and</strong> operator<br />

training.<br />

(f) Advise <strong>and</strong> instruct maintenance personnel on adjustments,<br />

repair operations, <strong>and</strong> isolation procedures.<br />

(g) Monitor <strong>and</strong> coordinate installation of modifications on the<br />

FAAD system.<br />

( h ) A d v i s e c o m m a n d e r o n F A A D s y s t e m c a p a b i l i t i e s a n d<br />

limitations.<br />

(i) Implement proper safety <strong>and</strong> security procedures applicable to<br />

the maintenance support of the FAAD system.<br />

( j ) O v e r s e e T h e A r m y M a i n t e n a n c e M a n a g e m e n t S y s t e m<br />

(TAMMS).<br />

(k) Supervise maintenance of unit Prescribed Load List (PLL).<br />

(2) CW3—<br />

(a) Performs duties as described in paragraph g(1).<br />

( b ) P r o v i d e t e c h n i c a l g u i d a n c e a n d d i r e c t i o n t o s u b o r d i n a t e<br />

elements.<br />

(c) Advise the comm<strong>and</strong>er or staff officers on the FAAD system<br />

capabilities <strong>and</strong> limitations.<br />

( d ) E v a l u a t e s , t r a i n s a n d v a l i d a t e s u n i t r e a d i n e s s f o r t h e<br />

comm<strong>and</strong>er.<br />

(3) CW4—<br />

(a) Perform duties as described in paragraph g(2).<br />

(b) Perform in contract management <strong>and</strong> budgeting.<br />

(c) Serve as Project Manager on New/Improved FAAD weapon<br />

system fielding.<br />

(d) Provide leadership, guidance, technical input, <strong>and</strong> direction to<br />

subordinate elements, staff agencies, <strong>and</strong> field comm<strong>and</strong>ers up to<br />

<strong>and</strong> including theater level.<br />

(4) CW5—<br />

(a) Perform duties described in paragraph g(3).<br />

(b) Develop, review <strong>and</strong> update the life cycle management of<br />

ADA warrant officers.<br />

(c) Advise the Comm<strong>and</strong>ant <strong>and</strong> Assistant Comm<strong>and</strong>ant at the<br />

DA PAM 611–21 • 31 March 1999<br />

<strong>Army</strong> Air Defense School Artillery on all matters pertaining to<br />

ADA warrant officers.<br />

h. Grading <strong>and</strong> position titles. Authorized position titles are provided<br />

in appendixes B <strong>and</strong> C. The following grades are used to code<br />

positions into one of four definable skill levels: W2 equals WO1/<br />

CW2; W3 equals CW3; W4 equals CW4; <strong>and</strong> W5 equals CW5. The<br />

grades are listed in the following st<strong>and</strong>ards of grade tables:<br />

(1) Table 8-140B-1. St<strong>and</strong>ards of grade TOE/MTOE.<br />

(2) Table 8-140B-2. St<strong>and</strong>ards of grade N/A.<br />

8–11. <strong>Military</strong> <strong>Occupational</strong> Specialty 140D—HAWK<br />

Systems Technician (Reserve Component only)<br />

a. Licensing/certification requirement. None.<br />

b. Prerequisites. DA Cir 601 series.<br />

c. MOS 140D. MOS 140D is an accession MOS. The enlisted<br />

feeder MOSs are 24K, 27H, <strong>and</strong> 27K.<br />

d. Associated SQI.<br />

(1) 0—No special qualifications.<br />

(2) 7—Parachutist.<br />

(3) 8—Instructor.<br />

(4) T—Transition (personnel only).<br />

(5) Z—Research, Development, Test, <strong>and</strong> Evaluation Technician.<br />

40-501.<br />

(d) Have a physical profile that allows assignment to remote<br />

locations.<br />

(2) CW3 must—<br />

(a) Meet qualifications described in paragraph f(1).<br />

( b ) C o m p l e t e b o t h p h a s e s o f t h e W a r r a n t O f f i c e r A d v a n c e d<br />

Course for CW2(P) or CW3.<br />

(3) CW4 must—<br />

(a) Meet qualifications described in paragraph f(2).<br />

(b) Complete the WOSC for CW3(P) or CW4.<br />

(4) CW5 must—<br />

(a) Meet qualifications described in paragraph f(3).<br />

(b) Complete the WOSSC.<br />

(d) Develop <strong>and</strong> implement maintenance SOPs.<br />

(e) Evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance programs <strong>and</strong> operator<br />

training.<br />

(f) Advise <strong>and</strong> instruct maintenance personnel on adjustments,<br />
