Çrémän Mahäprabhu Glorifies Lord Nityänanda
other devotee and put it on his head. There was thus intense
competition among the devotees as to who would take the dust
of another devotee and place it on his head. They cried and
repeatedly embraced one another.
It is very difficult to describe the activities of the devotees
at that time. Both the two Lords and Their servants danced together.
The two Lords embraced each other joyfully and danced
in ecstasy. Being maddened in the ecstasy of the transcendental
loving mellows, the Lord of Vaikuëöha danced with His associates.
The pastimes of the Lord are endless. The Vedas describe
these pastimes from His appearance to His disappearance.
After dancing throughout the entire day, Lord Gaurahari
sat down, surrounded by His associates. He clapped His hands
three times and said in a grave voice, “Whoever places his faith
and devotion in Nityänanda Çvarüpa places his faith and devotion
in Me. Even Lord Brahmä and Lord Çiva constantly worship
His lotus feet. Therefore, all of you should maintain you
love and devotion for Him. If anyone maintains even a tinge of
enmity towards Nityänanda, although he may claim to be My
devotee, he is not dear to Me. If the air that touched Nityänanda’s
body touches anyone, Lord Kåñëa will never leave that person.”
Hearing these words from the Lord, all the devotees loudly
exclaimed, “Jaya! Jaya!”
If one hears these topics with devotion, Lord Gauracandra
becomes his life and soul. Those who have personally seen these
pastimes of Nityänanda Çvarüpa certainly know His glories.
The dear and fortunate associates of Lord Caitanya know many
such wonderful glories of Nityänanda.
Accepting Çré Caitanya and Nityänanda Prabhu as my life
and soul, I, Våndävana däsa, sing the glories of Their lotus feet.
