Lord Nityänanda’s Meeting with Çré Caitanya Mahäprabhu
Someone else said, “Both of Them are just like two Cupids.”
Others said, “They are just like Kåñëa and Balaräma.”
Another person said, “I do not know much about Them, but
I have a feeling that Ananta Çeña has taken shelter of the lap
of Kåñëa.”
Still others said, “They are just like the two friends, Kåñëa
and Arjuna, in the way They exchanged great affection.”
Someone said, “It appears that They are closely related to
one another. Whatever They say to each other is done by gestures.”
In this way, all the devotees happily described the glories of
Lord Nityänanda and Lord Gauracandra. Anyone who hears
about the meeting of Nitäicäìda with Gauracandra will no
doubt be released from material bondage.
Accepting Çré Caitanya and Çré Nityänanda as my life and
soul, I, Våndävana däsa, sing the glories of Their lotus feet.
Caööagräma. His father was Mädhava Miçra and his mother was Ratnavaté.
He left his native village and came to reside at Navadvépa.
After assisting Lord Gauräìga in His scholastic and saìkértana pastimes
in Navadvépa, he came to Néläcala and engaged in the service
of Çré Gopénätha. He entered into the eternal pastimes of the Lord
after the disappearance of Çré Caitanya Mahäprabhu. Later on, Nayänanda,
the son of Väëénätha, who was the brother of Gadädhara,
took the Gopénätha Deity that hung around Gadädhara’s neck, as
well as Gadädhara’s Bhagavad-gétä, and installed them in a temple
at Bhäratapüra. Çré Gadädhara Paëòita was a manifestation of Çré
Rädhä combined with Rukmiëé and Lakñmé.
