though it is very difficult for Brahmä to get such prema,
Çré Nitäi gives it indiscriminately.
4. That prema is karuëä-sindhu—like an ocean of
mercy. Nitäi broke down the strong embankment of the
ocean of love. He completely devastated that dam! That
ocean of love is unlimited, and so there was a torrential
flooding that inundated every home. Indeed, that flood
of love inundated the entire world!
5. Locana däsa says, “He is an unfortunate fellow
who does not take shelter of Nitäi and does not perform
the bhajana of Çré Nityänanda Prabhu, begging for the
mercy of Çré Nitäi. He willingly commits suicide.

The Marketplace of the Holy Name

nadéyä-godrume nityänanda mahäjana
pätiyäche näm-haööa jévera käraëa
(çraddhävän jana he, çraddhävän jana he)
prabhura äjïäy, bhäi, mägi ei bhikñä
bolo kåñëa, bhajo kåñëa, koro kåñëa-çikñä
aparädha-çunya ho ’ye leha kåñëa-näma
kåñëa mätä, kåñëa pitä, kåñëa dhana-präëa
kåñëera saàsära koro chäòi anäcära
jéve doya, kåñëa-näma-sarva-dharma-sära
TRANSLATION
1. Nityänanda Mahäjana so mercifully opened a
marketplace in Godruma, Nadia, for the welfare of the
suffering souls. In that marketplace only the holy name
is traded.
2. What is the price? çraddhäväna jana he! çraddhäväna
jana he! Those who have faith in the holy
name and faith in the words of sädhu, çästra and guru.
This is the price! Faith! Only those persons are allowed
to enter that marketplace. They can buy and sell the
