ÇRÉ NITYÄNANDA CARITÄMÅTA
After a few days, Nityänanda Prabhu reached Néläcala. Arriving
at Kamalapura 23 and seeing the top of the Jagannätha
temple, He fell senseless to the ground. Tears of love incessantly
streamed from His eyes as He called out, “Çré Kåñëa Caitanya.”
After entering Néläcala, Nityänanda Prabhu remained within
a flower garden. Who except Çré Caitanya can understand the
mind of Nityänanda?
Aware that Nityänanda had arrived, Çré Gauracandra left
all the devotees behind and went to greet Him. He soon reached
the spot where Nityänanda sat in deep meditation. When Çré
Caitanya saw Nityänanda absorbed in meditation, He became
filled with ecstatic prema. He then recited His own verses in
glorification of Nityänanda while circumambulating Him.
O readers, please hear the glories of Nityänanda spoken by
Çré Caitanya. Hearing them causes one’s attachment for Him to
increase.
gåhniyad yavané pänià viçed ba sausnukälayam
tathäpi brahmaëä bandyaà nityänanda padäsvujam
“Even if Lord Nityänanda marries a meat-eater girl
or enters a wine shop, He is still worshipable by Lord
Brahmä.”
Gaurahari repeatedly recited this verse with great devotion
while circumambulating Nityänanda Prabhu. Realizing that the
Lord had come, Nityänanda Svarüpa instantly arose with awe
and reverence, uttering, “Hari! Hari!”
No one would be able to describe the happiness felt by Nityänanda
upon seeing Gauracandra. He roared like a lion and
