Lord Nityänanda’s Meeting with<br />

Gadädhara Däsa<br />

Once, <strong>Nityananda</strong> Prabhu desired to wear some fine ornaments.<br />

As soon He desired this, varieties of valuable<br />

and enchanting ornaments made with silver, gold, and diamonds<br />

were immediately brought before Him. Fortunate people<br />

brought these ornaments that were bedecked with jewels and<br />

coral. They also brought fine cloth and pearl necklaces, which<br />

they presented to the Lord while offering obeisances.<br />

The Lord then decorated Himself according to His own<br />

sweet will. He decorated His two hands with golden bangles<br />

and put ten golden rings beset with diamonds on each of His<br />

ten fingers. He decorated His neck with necklaces studded with<br />

jewels, pearls, and coral. To please Lord Çiva, He took a string<br />

of rudräkña and cat’s eyes decorated with gold and silver, respectively,<br />

and placed it around His neck. He placed two beautiful<br />

golden earrings bedecked with pearls on His ears. He decorated<br />

His lotus feet with silver ankle-bells and placed very attractive<br />
