CHAPTER THREE
Lord Nityänanda’s Darçana of Lord Jagannätha
Lord Caitanya walked as swiftly, like an infuriated lion. He
soon reached Jagannätha Puré and entered the temple of
Lord Jagannätha. By the Lord’s will, Särvabhauma Bhaööäcärya
was present in the temple, having the darçana of Jagannätha,
Baladeva, and Subhadrä, when Gauracandra, the life and soul
of the universe, came to see Them.
As soon as the Lord saw Jagannätha, He loudly roared and
went to embrace Him. While doing so, however, the Lord fell
unconscious onto the floor in ecstasy. Who can understand the
unfathomable qualities of the Supreme Lord? Just by seeing Jagannätha,
who is non-different from Him, Lord Caitanya fainted
onto the floor.
Särvabhauma Bhaööäcärya personally attended to the Lord,
but was unable to bring Him back to external consciousness.
Finally, Särvabhauma Bhaööäcärya decided to take Lord Caitanya
home.
