C<strong>on</strong>sider the Cause as a Whole<br />

The Lord has need of all kinds of skillful<br />

workmen. “He gave some, apostles; and some,<br />

prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors<br />

and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the<br />

work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body<br />

of Christ: till we all come in the unity of the faith,<br />

and of the knowledge of the S<strong>on</strong> of God, unto a<br />

perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the<br />

fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13.<br />

Every child of God should have sanctified<br />

judgment to c<strong>on</strong>sider the cause as a whole and the<br />

relati<strong>on</strong> of each part to every other part, that n<strong>on</strong>e<br />

may lack. The field is large, and there is a great<br />

work of reform to be carried forward, not in <strong>on</strong>e or<br />

two lines, but in every line. The medical<br />

missi<strong>on</strong>ary work is a part of this work of reform,<br />

but it should never become the means of separating<br />

the workers in the ministry from their field of<br />

labor. The educati<strong>on</strong> of students in medical<br />

missi<strong>on</strong>ary lines is not complete unless they are<br />
