hope for the prosperity of our sanitariums. It is<br />

useless to think of any other way. We cannot<br />

expect the blessing of God to rest up<strong>on</strong> us, if we<br />

serve God at will, and let Him al<strong>on</strong>e at pleasure.<br />

It is not necessary that we should cater to the<br />

world’s demands for pleasure. There are other<br />

places in the world where people may find<br />

amusement. We need at our sanitariums substantial<br />

men and women; we need those who will reveal<br />

the simplicity of true godliness. When the sick<br />

come to our instituti<strong>on</strong>s, they should be made to<br />

realize that there is a divine power at work, that<br />

angels of God are present.<br />

Tact Essential<br />

The spiritual work of our sanitariums is not to<br />

be under the c<strong>on</strong>trol of physicians. This work<br />

requires thought and tact, and a broad knowledge<br />

of the Bible. Ministers possessing these<br />

qualificati<strong>on</strong>s should be c<strong>on</strong>nected with our<br />

sanitariums. They should uplift the standard of<br />

temperance from a Christian point of view,<br />
