QTM DL/factoring solvers might make use of one of the currently lesspopular<br />

methods, in favor of simplicity. Observe that rho methods involve<br />

very little beyond modular squaring and adding. (As with many factoring<br />

algorithm candidates for QTM implementation, the eventual gcd operations<br />

could just be classical.) What is more, at the very heart of rho methods lives<br />

the phenomenon of periodicity, and as we have seen, QTMs are periodicity<br />

detectors par excellence.
