General information<br />

transmission control module (TCM) function.<br />

n MX-5: Transmission control module (TCM) mounted<br />

separately.<br />

n MX-5: Data bus connecting ECM to TCM allows faults<br />

relating to both systems to be displayed when accessing<br />

ECM fault memory.<br />

Accessing <strong>and</strong> erasing<br />

3231626: The engine control module (ECM) fault memory<br />

can only be accessed <strong>and</strong> erased using diagnostic<br />

equipment connected to the data link connector (DLC).<br />

MX-5: The ECMITCM fault memory can only be accessed<br />

<strong>and</strong> erased using diagnostic equipment connected to the<br />

data link connector (DLC).
