HOW to use this manual<br />

Compression pressure<br />

Manifold vacuum<br />

Valve clearances<br />

Valve timing<br />

Oil filler cap sealing<br />

Not burning excess oil<br />

No excessive crankcase fumes<br />

Electrical<br />

Battery fully charged <strong>and</strong> 11-14 volts available<br />

Plug leads connected correctly<br />

Ignition coil(s)<br />

Ignition timing<br />

HT leads (where applicable)<br />

Spark at plugs<br />

Engine ground connections<br />

Engine control module (ECM) ground connections<br />

Fuel system<br />

Air filter for blockage<br />

Fuel filter for blockage<br />

Fuel delivery rate<br />

Fuel system pressure<br />

Fuel regulated pressure<br />

Fuel injector spray pattern<br />

Vacuum hoses not split or collapsed<br />

Catalytic converter <strong>and</strong> exhaust for blockage<br />

Transmission<br />

0 Fluid level correct<br />

Fluid in good condition<br />

No foreign matter in transmission fluid<br />

No restricted fluid passages in valve block<br />

0 Vacuum hoses not disconnected, split, blocked or collapsed<br />

No engine related faults<br />

Selector lever cablellinkage adjusted correctly<br />

Multi-plugs connected securely<br />

Wiring undamaged<br />

Immobilizer (engine won't start)<br />

Correct key is being used<br />

Key is not damaged<br />

0 Does the key need reprogramming<br />

No spurious signals from external source<br />

No engine related faults<br />

Gear selector in P or N
