Stanley Adamson Powerhouse Project
The Stanley Adamson Powerhouse received a substantial upgrade with the installation of three new Andritz
turbines. The 91-year-old power house, located on the Otonabee River, now generates 3.9 megawatts of
electricity and has an expected lifespan of 100 years.
Alltrade provided electrical and mechanical installation of the turbines.

Bow Lake Substation
The Bow Lake 60 megawatt wind farm is supported by 115kV substation. Alltrade completed the electrical
installation for the substation including overhead aluminum buss work, ACSR cable installation, equipment
switch setting and installation, P&C wiring, conduit installation, grounding and commissioning support.

South Branch Wind Farm
Located near our nation’s capital Ottawa, the South Branch Wind Farm is the first project in Ontario to install 3
megawatt turbines. Alltrade completed the installation of all grounding and conduits for tower bases, secondary
wiring from pad mount transformers at each tower, tower wiring and low voltage substation wiring, grounding
and conduits. In total, 10 Siemens 3 megawatt towers were built providing approximately 9,500 average homes
with clean energy.

Solar
Alltrade is a well-known industry leader in the solar sector. We have completed over 500 megawatts of solar
projects including commercial FIT projects and ground mount solar farms with supporting substations.
We have installed solar projects with more than 145,000 solar modules. We have built solar farms
where our manpower resources included 120 trades and due to our integrated project management,
increased our client’s project ranking to first from fourth. We have completed the electrical installation
for the first 100% First Nation owned solar farm and installed complete FIT rooftop portfolios.

OPG Hagues Reach Generating Station
Alltrade provided fabrication services to the Hagues Reach Generating Station, fabricating and installing the new
4-tonne monorail system with additional tailrace concrete repairs.

Covanta
Covanta Durham York waste to energy centre located in Oshawa, Ontario, required comprehensive project
management to complete the project on time. Joining the new build project half way through, Alltrade’s
instrumentation services were essential to support the Owner’s construction schedule. Delivering both
mechanical instrumentation piping and electrical instrumentation control wiring, Alltrade demonstrated their
experience and skill implementing a highly complex system built using new technologies.

TTC Wilson Station Substation
Utilizing electrical, civil, millwrighting and rigging resources, Alltrade completed the new traction
power and substation project for the TTC.
The project included installation of traction power cabling through existing and new ducts, all
power distribution, rectifier transformers, switchgear and protection, and control installation in
the new substation. The installation required over 14 kilometers of 1500mcm DLO cable and over 7
kilometers of 535mcm DLO cable for traction power scope including new feeders from an existing
substation.

Cambridge Cogeneration Project
Alltrade delivers turnkey construction services to install the very first generating facility for Toyota Motor
Manufacturing Canada (TMMC), located in Cambridge, Ontario. This combined heat and power project included
the installation of two 4.2 megawatt natural gas-fired generators to provide power to the automotive plant and
includes a steam recovery system.

McLean’s Mountain Wind Farm
The McLean’s Mountain Wind Farm is a 60 megawatt on-shore wind farm located on Manitoulin Island in Ontario.
The overall project included the installation of 24 General Electric 2.5 megawatt turbines. Alltrade completed the
installation and termination of the complete collection system that included fibre optic cable and splices. With
over 28 kilometers of trench, we installed the substation low voltage wiring, grounding and both the 5kVA and
690V tower wiring.

OPG South Falls Generating Station
Located in Bracebridge, Ontario, this 109-year-old generating station houses a new 1.5 megawatt generating
unit. Alltrade completed the removal of the existing power feed and new installation of 1000 mcm of 15kV
feeders utilizing a variety of trades including electrical, civil, millwrighting and ironwork. The project also included
removal and replacement of the floor to house the turbine. The installation of the cable tray and feeders proved
formidable due to the steep and rough terrain and tight access to the site with large equipment.

Our strength lies in our ability to self-perform our client’s projects. We offer electrical, millwrighting, ironworking,
piping, sheet metal and fabrication services performed by certified trades. The Alltrade fabrication shop delivers
small and large custom fabrication and our equipment resources can handle your project requirements.
