110 Hardware Maintenance Manual<br />

This procedure describes how to remove and replace a PCI adapter.<br />

1. Remove cover. See “Removing the cover” on page 89.<br />

2. Open the adapter latch and remove the failing adapter.<br />

3. Remove the new adapter from its static-protective package.<br />

4. Install the new adapter into the appropriate connector on the system and close<br />

the adapter latch.<br />

5. Go to “Completing the FRU replacement” on page 111.
